It sounds to me like this trainer is still secretly working for Pac. Clottey is really getting screwed here. What is he training at that slow pace for?

Yup, along with a good jab to keep Pac at Bay. I just don't think Clottey can sustain enough pressure for all 12 rounds.

how is a non pressure fighter going to outwork a pressure fighter???? pac never gets tired. i have seen clottey tired every fight except judah which ended bc of the cut. I don't believe he can become a new fighter/style in 8 weeks. when the crap hits the fan, he will go right back in his shell. clottey is a good fighter but he chokes.

Pressure like a washed up Morales that dominated pac thats what beats him, and pac over looking his opponent like he did with erik and may do with joshy.

if manny kos clottey i would be extremely impressed. I wasn't as much for cotto bc cotto tires and chinny. This fight have pac decision all over it -120 is not too bad and just in case drop some on clottey to win anyway for just in case clottey is +450 to win period!

Clottey's pressure is just by being in front of him making Pac throw when he wants to rest whether it will work or not will depend on Clottey's punch out put in my opinion. I think the plan would be to stay on top of him and push him around the ring. Wear Manny's legs down by making him back peddle the entire fight and hopefully catch him at the end. I think that's what his trainer might be thinking of.

Vernon Forrest said it best when he beat Mosely. A good jab kills speed! Another good example of that is Oscar when he was winning the first half of his fight with Floyd. The moment he stopped using his jab Floyd took over. Even Cotto did well against Paquiao when he got his jab going. I noticed manny stopped punching when Cotto doubled his jab. I think a guy with good jab that chooses to double n triple it will beat Manny.

That and lots of straight rights after the jabs, and you are bound to catch Pac coming in. Clottey has a good jab and right hands but, but he's not very consistent with them, and his ring generalship is not that great.

Man from this video I would say Clottey gets the F! KO.
Mannys speed and angles are going to dumbfound him. Least watching this video.

pressure fighters tend to leave gaps for counters , if this is the game plan then look for a painful night , Clottey needs to know what can beat manny and that is the Jab. JMM and Morales 1 it was boxing skills that beats manny. Pressure like Hatton and it will be over by the 6th , Clottey maybe big , but is also a big target.

if you think clottey will be facing the same pac that lost to morales then you need to watch more pac fights. :yep
