he seems to be content just to make a good account of himself though. it seems everyones a little in awe of pacquiao right now... and that includes the other two welters out there.

As much respect he has for Pac, and he has the same promoter. There's no way he would imply that, but just something your searching for because you dislike Pac.
Think about if you were Clottey. Your an elite boxer, but yet haven't really shined, or got big paydays. Your last match you lost to Cotto (even if the decision wasn't that good). Pac calls you up, and gives you a match for the biggest payday of your life, the chance to knock him off the mountain, a chance for you to shine (even in losing honestly), and a chance to win the belt. You'd love the freakin guy, and would not disrespect him!
Perhaps if Pac prayed it, and received...Clottey wants to know what he prayed for? Maybe he wants some boxing lessons/ tips from Pac, who knows...But I'm sure he wouldn't imply PED's for the reasons I stated.

Back to the interview though. This **** is so funny. He talks about Manny like he's a god! I don't mind him admiting he "might" lose, but saying Pac is small is the thing that has me worried. I remember they were talking about Mosley/ Pac, and Mosley's trainer said the first person in camp that refers to Pac as being "small" he'd throw them out immediately! He said Pac really isn't that small, and he didn't want Mosley underestimating him, and believing he is...

At first i thought Clottey was talking about PEDS but he then went on to talk about a god given power. Either way it didn't sound right at all.

Think that just has to do with a language barrier more then anything else. I mean it makes some sense after you listen to it a couple times but the first time it seems a little off.

Clotteys not hungry... How does Clottey stand a chance to win when he has to give his best performance of his career and his not even hungry for the fight??

Actually if you look at everything he said, he said he was in it to win it but also with the mindset that its going to be difficult......

I for one am glad he's going into the fight with that mindset, because the past three opponents of Pacquiao all went in with the mindset that they were bigger and thus could bully him.......

When you have that type of mindset, you dont quite polish up on the technical side of the task at hand.

I for one will be very suprised if Clottey is'nt competitive all the way through.

At this point I'll be surprised if Clottey even shows up. This guy makes it sound like he'll be fighting Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, and Muhammad Ali all at the same time. He needs to get over it.

To think I was set to put money on late round KO for JC. No way I'm doing that when he's barely imagining it.

Think I'm gonna put big money on Pac by UD and/or TKO12

I think hes entitled to that opinion when hes fighting this little guy who beat the hell out of a guy he struggled and lost a close fight with. Although i do like what i see in clottey. This guy has some serious ****ing pride, but i fear his chin will get tested to see if it lives up to the granite label it is given. If his chin lets him down here, hes had it. Also i hope hes been working on a strong jab and straight right hand. The 1-2 over and over will keep him in the fight.

Clottey is underrated, I can see him giving Pac his toughest fight since he gone up in weight.

Clottey is just showing respect, thats not a sign that he's scared or ready to loose, the other came in there with supreme confidence and underestimated Pac. I think he's trying very hard not to underestimate this "smaller" guy. Good mindset. I hope he shows a good account of himself, a true sportsman who right now is not in it so much for the money, but is just happy he has the chance to prove he is the best by beating the best.
