i'm not sure, i think marquez won that second fight vs. pacquiao so i think he's number 1 with all respect to manny. i think floyd is overrated because of who's he fought and when he fought them, but his skill and bodypunching shouldn't be underrated. he had a great right hand and that works good against marquez. as for marquez, his punching power is also underrated and having floyd on the ropes will be interesting to watch. marquez like manny is very strong for his size and i'd rather watch 2 high quality fighters fight despite the weight difference. they are both slow starters so i'd probably advise boxing fans to have alittle patience, but i expect a great fight

It could be a classic defending on how will JMM perform but as of now i view it as a letdown considering size, skill & age advantage of Floyd.

A prefabricated fight, not worth watching.

To Marquez's credit, he was very game despite being outclassed from the opening bell

Certainly no classic, but not exactly a let-down. Marquez seemed as sharp as usual, which itself is unusual at age 36, but Floyd just has those speed and reflexes that belong to another species, and it was like you watched to fighters in different time speeds, Marquez in real time, Floyd at RT x 1.2.

The whole fight seemed ridiculously easy for Floyd. I got the feeling he could have KO'ed JMM any time he wanted, but needed the workout after such a long layoff.

It wasn't a great fight, granted, but it wasn't so bad either, like other people make it out to be. People would still be whining if it ended by a K.O.

Don't ask me how I know, but I have the feeling it's going to be an enormous let down and you'll feel like you've just been robbed of $50 by the end of the night.

The answer you are seeking is dependent on who you are asking actually?

it wasnt a let down. it was everything the educated boxing fan knew it would be. a good watch, but not a classic! :)

Made it clear that bloating for a fight is not a good idea.

I don't think anyone expected it to be a classic, and didnt exactly see it as a let down either. The most intriguing part in the build up to the bout were the questions, would Marquez be able to carry the weight? Would Mayweather be rusty after nearly two years out? Other than that it went as planned.
I think the majority knew Mayweather was going to win, but I didn't think Mayweather would dominate him that much.
