How many of you will allow him to leave the sport and sail off into the sunset with his head held high? I imagine not many of you will and it'll be the age old story as has happened in the past that they should not retire til they have fought (insert name) or a young lion who's name is hot at that present time. I can already see it now. If those 2 fights come off and Floyd prevails, I predict there will be hundreds of threads saying that Floyd will be classed as a chicken unless he faces Berto, Williams (who even at this stage wouldn't have a prayer of getting down to 147), Bradley, Valero, Alexander etc etc. How many of you will give him respect if he leaves the sport and what other names do you think the haters will band about to tarnish his career?

Mosley is old and Pacquiao shouldn't be fighting at 147(but that is where the money is). I want to see Floyd beat Paul Williams at either 154 or 147 and beat Sergio Martinez at 154. If he can do that, I would consider him an alltime great, but he has been cherry picking since he left the 130pound division.
It will be more like Floyd has fought and defeat the best, but in a shortcut way. I think he should still fight two or more in this weight to prove his worth that he didn't just sit around to wait and fight the last man in this division.
according to floyd he has 4-5 more fights left in him and he wants the best guys at 147, usually he says he wants the big money fights but he has changed his tune for the moment. Lets hope its true. As a Mayweather fan I wouldnt even be content with just a win over mosley and Pac. Hopefully he fights pwill, berto, than whoever else as his last fight. LOL to the guy who said Martinez. shane is still bigger and stronger. The man is like hopkins. He still can go 5 years. floyd fought plenty of fighters in their prime. Jesus chavez, manfreddy, carlos hendraz, corrales, castillo 2x, judah, hatton. they were all either champs and future champs... people (i mean haters) need to give the man credit. The same people who is denying floyd credit are the same ones giving pac credit against washed up morales, barrera, and over the hill oscar. pac fought hatton when he lost his o already and down part of hatton's career. But since pac is smaller against all 3 he should get credit but shane is not washed up and he is bigger.:deal
he would deserve credit, you dont when 5 titles in 5 weights and just cherry pick, he has 12 wins over world champions and with Mosley and Pac he'd be recognized as the best of his generation

They would look positively skeletal after draining themselves down to that weight a number of times. Tommy Hearns springs to mind, he had to move up eventually. Paul is no exception, Do you really think he would move out of such a hot division if he could make the weight and remain fresh as a daisy in doing so? No chance
really? I respect your opinion but I just don't see what the fuss is about with Berto. I know he's a champ and has some skill but he really hasn't acheived a great deal in the sport (yet). Certainly not to the level at which Mosley or Pacquiao have. I don't think it is right for Floyd to have to stick around and wait for other boxers to become great in order to beat them. Especially if he does end up beating 2 fighters who are currently sat in the top 3 p4p with him.
