It means **** all. Dodson lost to some fella once who had never won at the time, then he fights him again, and wins. It all means nothing, what happens on the night is what counts
Interesting what Dodson said on Bunce boxing hour : "i dont count sparring what happens in sparring is completely different to what happens in a fight." Kind of begs the question what happened in sparring did those sessions not go well for you? Kind of makes me lean towards Smith
That is exactly what I mean, Dodson is average and if Smith has aspirations above domestic level then he needs to destroy the average Dodson.
what my point is though is at the end of the day, it doesn't matter when or how, it matters that he does. I am sure he would love a KO/TKO on his record against dodson, but if it is points, then it is points. I appreciate a lot of people think he needs to go out and explode on dodson, but to be fair i don't think paul will do this immediately, as he is a far more intelligent boxer than he is given credit for. if the shot is there to hit dodson with some power he will go for it i am sure, but i will go on record now and say it won't be a dissapointment if he doesn't do dodson via KO, but that he wins. The fact froch KO'D dodson has no bearing on this fight, other than the fact it suggests that dodson may be vunerable to the body
OK fine, I am not going to go round in circles, you have your opinion and I have mine. Lets just see.
i do think smiths needs to look good beating dodson but that dont mean he has to beat him inside 5 rounds
