Why not, you did when you brought up KO% in the first place.

A little late here but wanted to chime in on this one...

Bowe vs Tyson = Bowe by TKO

Take how Buster Douglas looked on his best night and that is how a prime Bowe looked just about every night.

not a good example at all, considering this was a bad as tyson ever was. and how can you be so sure bowe can stand up to tyson's power considering bowe was never really matched up with punchers. and tyson was the most dangerous puncher in that time frame.

Even a sub-par Tyson woulnt have had a problem with Douglas on any other night except for that one. We can blame Tyson's preparation for that night but bottom line is, Buster was on a mission in Tokyo.

Buster looked, well...a whole lot like Bowe that night. Very big guy with good hand speed and combinations...used an uppercut effectively, fought well on the inside and out and used an excellent job to set up all his punches.

douglas used his height and kept tyson at then end of his jab. he fought like a tall man. bowe on the other hand, while offensively better then douglas, like to fight on the inside. not a smart move against tyson. you gotta outbox tyson to beat him, not trade with him. and it still a wonder whether bowe could be able to trade punches with tyson. tyson's chin more proven the bowe's.

But Bowe had a damn good chin...Unfortunately his resume doesn't warrant enough of a bomber to prove he could take Tyson-esque blows. But from the kind of shots I've seen him take and not be the least bit phased by, I say he has the armor to withstand a Tyson onslaught while keeping him at bay with his exceptional offense.

that the problem, based on his resume, how can you say he has a good chin. he has shown he could take alot of damage, especially against golota. but tyson has shown to have an exceptional chin. tyson never when down from a single shot to the chin while bowe was against holyfield, who isnt the puncher tyson is. and punch for punch, tyson was the bigger puncher. the only advantage bowe has is his size. he could possibly ware down tyson, but can bowe take tyson's onslaut to get to that point?

I've watched every televised fight of his. He has a great chin.

Your argument is, this guy did so and so to that guy, so this other guy must not be able to take this guy. You know that doesn't work in boxing. Bowe destroyed Cooper in 2 and Cooper had Holyfield out on his feet...see how that goes?

Did you forget a 35 year old Holyfield knocked Tyson down? Followed by a TKO? Did Holyfield TKO Bowe?

did you know what holyfield drop tyson with? a body shot. and yeah, holyfield beat tyson and lost to bowe, but that to do with styles and how each man was at different stages of their careers. and thats dosen thave anything to do with the topic at hand. what you have to admit is that tyson fought bigger punchers then bowe fought. so if you're taking about take take more heat, you have to give the edge to tyson. how are you so sure bowe can trade with tyson?

I am not so sure at all Tyson fought the bigger punchers. Even if he did face the bigger punchers, I have one question...who's the biggest puncher that Tyson DEFEATED?

Does Tyson have a win in his resume better than beating a prime Holyfield? I don't think so. What would you rate as Mike's biggest win?

Riddick Bowe vs Mike Tyson, may be one of the harder match-ups to accurately determine a winner, when looking at fantasy fights.. On one hand, your points about styles, etc, hold a lot of water, but on the other hand, the bigger the opponent, the more Tyson had the tendency to struggle... James Smith, Tony Tucker, Jose Ribalta, Mitch Green, Razor Ruddock and James Douglas, were all among the largest men he fought, and all of them took Tyson 10-12 rounds, troubled him or in one case, beat him... The Tyson who fought Douglas was ill prepared, working with crap managment and unmotivated, so I take that fight with a grain of salt... But, the fact still stands that he was troubled by much bigger men than himself.. It's likely that Riddick Bowe was a better all around big man than any of the mentioned fighters, and in some cases by a wide margin.. He could hit, take a punch, tie a man up, go the distance, had a ton of heart, and used his physical advantages very well.. It also helped to have a man like Eddie Futch in his corner who understood the type of style that Tyson fought very well. His weakness of course, was that his defense was basically **** and he preferred to trade with guys when he didn't always have to...

All in all, I think this would be a treachurous fight for both men, and frankly even though I rate Tyson quite a bit higher, wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way..

first off, ruddock and bruno care clearly bigger punchers then bowe ever fought. secondly, bowe's win over a prime holyfield was better then any single victory for tyson. but so what? whats your point? what does that have to do with a head to head match up with tyson? tyson and holyfield are two different fighters. matchups are completely different. especially when you consider bowe had a 30 pound weight advantage on holyfield. thats something you shouldnt forget about

You seem to be flip flopping here. You start stating your arguments by other fighter comparisions then when I respond in the same respect you are asking me what my point is??

with all those big men you mentioned, tyson beat all except for one. tyson would in fact stuggle with bowe because of his size but tyson had his most problems when tall men, fought tall. bowe is a guy who can give up his height to trade on the inside, which isntn the formula to beat tyson. if he fights tall, then it goves him a very good chance to beat tyson, but bowe like to mix it up, not a good strategy against a guy who is more trhen likely a bigger puncher then you are.

:-(if anything you're flip flopping. you quoted saying ''this guy did so and so to that guy, so this other guy must not be able to take this guy. You know that doesn't work in boxing". so why the hell are you bringing up how each em did against holyfield? and the comparison that was being made earlier was about each other ability to take a shot, which is direct and if you knew enough about each fighter, you would know tyson has a more proven chin. dosent mean bowe couldnt beat tyson or anything but it a point to make when comparing each man. you might want to do more research on both fighters.
