Lacy was never that good to begin with, once he injured his left shoulder I believe it was, his left hook was nothing special after that. The thing that made him, he loss. Jermaine Taylor is a case of one becoming shot. Eventhough B-Hop loss, he took something from Taylor... Taylor has bad stamina issues that quickly began to become worst and worst as he got older, eventually he kept fading in the later rounds and getting KO'd. He doesn't have a glass jaw, the guy gets KO'd later in his fights with punchers. His stamina is not good and he tends to make bad decisions in the ring. Dropping his hand to get hit by the right, trying to fight a person when he is hurt and not holding.... among other things.

He is damaged goods, any good puncher if they can get him into deep waters will KO him.

Why do you think Taylor lost his confidence after the Hopkins fight? He won, then defended against him straight away and won again, then fought the next biggest challenge at the time in Winky Wright and drew with him. After losing to Pavlik by KO he went straight back in the ring with him and lost a close decision. Beat Lacy after that and challenged again for a world title at SMW. Win or lose that seems to show some confidence in his ability.
Lacy was never the same after losing to Calzaghe, and never seemed to perfom to well after

Look at Taylor after the first Hopkins fight and you'll see the unconfidence in him. He never was the same after fighting Hopkins even if he did better in the rematch. Wright was his last good "win" and then he went 3-4 suffering 3 ko's.

lacy was exposed as one deminsenial by joe c an never atained that elite level as for jermaine taylor he was on that elite level fighting bhop 2, pavlik 2, froch, abraham, wright to name a few but the problem was no break in top level comp other than lacy an that got to him an broke him down hopefully a year or so away will rejuvinate him but that is doubtfull but still possible

That's why I put quotation marks on win as I felt Taylor should've won that fight.

Yep. HBO hyped up Taylor but he wasn't as good as they made him out to be. No offense to him as he fought everybody and gave great fights. Lacy's hype was taken way tooooooo far as people hyped him up to be a "mini tyson" when he wasn't that at all and failed to have a great win. He never recovered after he had his shoulder injury and from the Calzaghe fight.

    Taylor simply has terrible stamina.

His chin is fine but because his stamina is so poor he is susceptible to getting hurt later in fights when fatigue sets in, thats why he has been knocked out so much despite having what i believe to be a decent chin.

Taylor has elite Boxing skills so against Hopkins who fights at a snails pace and does not test your stamina he was fine, when he fought Froch & Pavlik they tested his stamina and made him fight at their pace and so he lost.

You can't be a bigger disappointment of the last 10 years if you won a world title and lost it to a future HOF member.

And yes Jermaine is done or needs to do a long rehab, I'm talking 10 fights before I would put him back in with world class talent.
