He has skills alright. If he has none, he'd be Koed easily in WW.

And come to think of it, it's because pacquiao evolved from a brawler to a 'technician' that MOST of them people accuses pac on roids (Mayweathers) and PEDS (haters). On the other thread, some even compare pac's big hands to clottey's..

Please. Manny choked out. He can get it whenever he wants it. He just has to get over his weak ass fear of needles or whatever excuse of the week Team Pac wants to make.

Dude ALL elite level fighters have skill. They do what they do in the ring with skills.

This is a dumb thread. An even dumber thread being based on an interview in the Wild Card gym. An even dumber coming from a former sparing partner. And even dumber coming from a fighter being possibly coached by Roach!

No. Manny is skilled. Any fighter on that level is skilled.

For the record Hatton was ALL hype. Collazo exposed that.

PED's would allow him to continue to keep form in a fight. Especially if they increased his wind and power. :deal

Of course pac has skills only an irrational hater would say otherwise. He wouldn't have gotten this far if he didn't have any. I take exception of the word technician and pac and the word technician shouldn't be used in the same sentence. A technician is someone who looks to pick you apart set traps and looks to outbox you. Pac doesn't look to outbox you. He looks to overwhelm you with speed and power from angles. Floyd, Hopkins, and Marquez are technicians pac is not.

The stuff Pacquiao was doing to Cotto... I have never seen Mayweather take anybody apart with combinations like that. Floyd at his best is a marvel of perfection, but all his moves are relatively perceptible. Pacquiao's moves I have to rewind about 4 times.

Pac is a technician man. Look at what he did with Hatton! I mean Hatton boxed with his hands at his chest and threw lead hooks with no jab. Manny knocked him out! That takes a serious technician to capitalize on that! :yep

LMAO! Please! Cotto is shot to hell and had no trainer. Granted we didn't know the extent of it until fight night. Roach did.

Tell Pac to blood test and you will see a technician.

Tons of ability, tons of skill... but not a technician.

Keeps his hands low, doesn't lead with the jab a lot nor does he set up punches. I wouldn't call him a technician, just like I wanted call Tony Canzoneri a technician.

Awesome speed, athleticism, reflexes, great power, solid chin, and awesome accuracy and ability to place punches as well as flurry. He's a machine. Great reflexes, moves his head a bit more and better than he did 5 years ago but he's not technical, textbook in the rudimentary fundamental boxing kind of way. And it's not just a defense thing... he isn't in the way a Roberto Duran was with his in-fighting. Very very skilled. Obviously has terrific punching technique. But I wouldn't call him a technician. I'd call him a skilled slugger before that I think.

He shouldn't rate higher than a 6 or 7 in a technique category.
