    More *******edness!

You have to have the test done to the sample to detect it. It does no good if a lab in Switzerland can detect it if you use the lab down the street.

They can cure HIV too. Ask Magic Johnson. Doesn't do 99.9% of the Average Joes on the street much good does it?

They can't cure HIV, merely treat the effects of it.

    I can't believe I've responded to a Floyd/Pacquiao/PED/testing thread......makes me feel low.

Um yes they can cure HIV.

-- Magic Johnson has 0% serum counts. They can't detect the virus any longer.

-- A marrow transplant from a person immune to the disease nullifies it, though you are a carrier, you are cured.

My point was that just because it is possible doesn't mean that it helps those who don't have access.

Ive had a reocurring knee injury since 07. A doctor told me 2 to 3 months of hgh would repair any cartilage damage and the knee would be as good as new. Im on my 3rd week and my knee feels great. As far as boxing, i noticed my second day a change in my build. My arms and chest blew up, i believe it is water retension. I can garuntee from my experience in training that no successful boxer is on hgh. Maybe they used hgh before training and got off maybe a month before the fight....i dont know. Not to mention, ive gained 10 lbs in two weeks while eating a 1500 calorie diet. Whereas i had been losing 2-5 lbs a week for the previous month in a half.

No disrespect but this has got to be the most ignorant statement I've heard in a long time. How can you say it doesn't provide an unfair advantage? EPO boosts a fighter's stamina ten-fold. If you are far less tired than your opponent, you're obviously going to score more points or achieve a KO in the late rounds. If you believe in your natural abilities then you won't need to depend on illegal substances.

If you're referring to the type of steroids that cause bulk and provide excess strength, it isn't always going be effective as strength isn't the only aspect a fighter needs to win a Boxing match. However it can still make a difference when you pair up two fighters who are equally skilled.

I personally would consider legalizing PEDs because it would at least provide a level playing field. However this thought becomes dampened when you consider the amount of deaths in the ring that have accumulated throughout the history of Boxing.

You just answered your own damn queston dork!

You do know that is why the testing is DURING the TRAINING CYCLE right? This is why the cut off date is important. They want it close enough so that no PED can be used and far enough out so nothing can be used.

Anyway, who said any specific PED? The point is TESTING. Testing is a deterrent! Parole officers **** test you not to make sure you don't use a specific drug. The threat of testing is to deter you from using ANY drug.
