Pirog has a WBC title eliminator.....its not on boxrec just yet.......anyway it did sound half feasible though due to being WBA # 15 :hey

If its a "real "step up as you say then everybody should be happy....I know I will be :deal

You have stated he is stepping up but not everybody will be happy.
Is the opponent comming off a long layoff or out of retirement?

Do you believe the opponent is a Qaulity fighter ready to bang 12 rounds with "The Pioneer"?

Or is it viewed as a tune up fight?

Your earliest response would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting Geale's name is getting mentioned again.

Haven't seen one even half a good reason why the IBO middleweight mandatory didn't happen.

    ...the interest was there.
    ...the title was there.
    ...the contest was there.
...there was a re-match clause in the original contract.
...the IBO called the mandatory, set the date, and....

...the belt went in the bin and more division hopping, and for what gain??

Do I agree the opponent is a quality fighter? Well lets see. He will be a world rated middleweight. The same weight division as choc. He wont be coming out of retirement and has been active. He probably will want a rematch after he loses and it wont be a guy over 40. And like I said not everybody will be happy.

If be title you mean one where you beat the defending, reigning champ, then no.

I was asked by choc before the Medley fight to join him. I have known him since he was a baby so we know each other very well. He listens and things we didnt have time to work on for the Medley fight we will be hopefully correcting this time. Things that Tony wanted corrected but you know nobody listens to their fathers. And yes before anyone asks. The pays very good.

Well lets hope it a a step in the right direction for his fans sake but seriously if he is fighting that contender guy then he should be shot with **** , Mundine WAS an undisputed world class level fighter but its continuingly taking on blokes that should not be allowed to lace his Gloves that has made him a laughing stock , Do You think fighting guy's at the level he has been fighting is going to be any good for him when /If he eventually steps up to world class level again ?
Ps how is Tony Mundine doing these day's ? and just out of interest has he ever discussed his fight with Monzon with you ?

Josey I dont match his fights. When asked I give my opinion thats as far as it goes. I speak to choc on a regular basis. I always have. I like everybody else would like to see choc take on the leading champions and I hope it happens this year. I have spoken to Tony many times about the Monzon fight. In my eyes Tony was born to soon.
