Balmain, Fair goes mate but i can't really understand the reasoning behind Mundine these day's and the decisions he makes in choice of opposition take Meadley for instance , now i don't mean any dispespect to Rob here but his last fight up prior to Fighting Choc was v guy who was something like 5-5-0 if i'm not mistaken , That level is just not exceptable if you want to be considered "World Class " , Now moving on to the important part ,lol Would you care to share with us old Tony Mundines opinion's of his fight with Monzon ? and yes Anthony Senior was defo born too early imo also , just imagine what he could have achived with his natuaral ability mixed with modern training .
Please understand I am Anthony Mundine through and through. And honestly I am not a fan of choc fighting Australians or fighting in Australia but that is the way they have decided to go. Khoder is his manager and he has kept choc on top for a long time now. As for Anthony William he was a guy who struggled to make 160lb and couldnt handle Argentina. He was threatened daily by the locals and after being treated like a king in France was in a place to him was like hell. Monzons ability didnt help either.

At last a level headed Mundine supporter ( There may indeed be a god ) lol , Yes Mundine Jr has had a very rewarding career money wise ( And good for him as far too many end up without a pot to **** in) but he will wake up one day in about 30 years time and have to admit to himself that for the second half of his career at least he faced " Ziltch" I had no idea Senior had it so hard down in Argentina , is that why Choc has been taking it out on their entire Taxi trade in recent years ? . But in all seriousness fighters visiting a country attempting to capture a title should be given a fair go , ( I'm still ashamed of the way Hagler was treated during his trip here to fight Minter ) But all said and done Mundine senior has a remarkable career spanning well over 20 years and almost a 100 pro fights , Fair goes and he only gets love from this fight fan . :good
It was all the Welshmen they let into the stadium that treated the Marvellous One so badly Josey! Seriously though, that was an abysmal day in English sports history and one that should never be lived down!!! So are you trying to say Ashley and 20-whatever-his-****ing-name-is aren't level headed.....
No Ash can be very level headed at times but having a conversation with the likes of Balimain is what a boxing forum should be all about ie a real pleasure . as for the Minter fight i watched it way back then Live on "Sportsnight " i think and remember thinking WTH is with that **** ,those clowns an entire nation that night .:-(
Balmain, Is there anything that can be read into the fact that Choc is currently working with one of Australia's greatest ever southpaws? Seeming not to have a great preference for fighting them, his last southpaw opponent was Bargero about 10 years ago, could this be a sign that there's a southpaw in Choc's sights? ...local lefty Pittman has been making some noise in Mundine's direction for a while, but he's got an April date set with Kariuki.
No I dont know anything about choc fighting a southpaw in the near future. He came down to Nowra to watch Joey Williams fight last week and we talked mainly about what he wants to do as far as changes from last time. He drove back straight after Joeys fight. I arrive in Sydney on Monday. Hopefully we can train early as most of us are going out to the football. I would say I will know all the details for his fight then but there has been no talk of southpaws.

Come on mate....you can tell us.....just accidently slip it into your next post....nobody will notice
Now I'm not drinking today and I'm pretty excited about Mundines next fight announcement but I'm seeing double every time Balmain posts....do I need help or can every body see this as well :nut
Just stay on board ash. I cant say to much in case Khoder reads this forum. Glad you support choc as I am a fan also. I know for a fact choc wants to fight Kelly Pavlik and I honestly believe it will happen this year. Khoder made choc available for april but HBO decided on Martinez. Anyway lets just see what is announced next week.
Thanks for saying that mate...I had heard this info from a few guys close to the camp as well...but glad someone with your reputation confirmed that choc was and is chasing Pavlik :good
