in shape... they had stamina yes but what kind of shape was enzo mac in sometimes... the guy had moobs ffs
I think - he was a hard nosed ******* - like a army drill sergant. Big on fitness , etc But what he lacked in was professionalism - and class - So things like nutrition - he probaly never gave a **** about his fighters nutrtion he wasnt professional enough to care Enzos moobs - were probaly down to **** nutrtion - hot dogs - pizzas - chips Bradely Price - and Gavin Rees would go for a few pints down the pub after training Enzo Calzaghe went far in boxing because he was so ignorant - he wasnt daunted by anything They done no skipping at his gym **** sparring - or sometimes no sparring for big fights :-( And eat whatever junk you want
No question he deserved trainer of the year when he got it. He had a phenomenal year. I think his legacy will be Joe Calzaghe and not much else though and so can't be regarded as a great trainer
Do you you actually like any British person who's involved in boxing?, because you only ever seem to criticise.
Wait for Enzo's version of this pile of **** [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYIzoFw2jI4[/ame] :scaredas:
I only really criticize the Calzaghe's. Can't think of anyone else who I constantly criticize. And for the umphteen time, nationality should play no concept in whether you like a boxer or not.
Professionally - Not really my cup of tea, and not particularly fond of the way he did things, in several aspects as a trainer. Personally - I've always found him very pleasant and very sincere. Don't have a bad word to say about him as a person. Bit of a nutter, but he has a heart of gold too. I've not always agreed with a lot of the hype that surrounded the Calzaghe stable, but there's no doubt he played a big part in bringing attention, controversy, and many memories to boxing in Wales. Thanks for your contributions to the sport Enzo. I wish you well in retirement and all the very best in your future endeavours.
I agree, i was only asking the question. I must have missed the threads in which you actually respected a British person who's involved in boxing. Just Kidding:good
:good Nah you got me wrong pal, I love loads of british fighters, I just probably go overboard with the ones I don't like And even though I dont like Calzaghe I ALWAYS respect him, not just for what he achieved but I respect any single person who steps through those ropes AM/PRO :good
