Thoughts? Personally I think they run too many shows and should do 1 PPV a month.

i'm a huge mma fan, and don't really have concerns with money. they just put on way too many PPV's. you have to draw the line somewhere. no need for more than one a month IMO. no the ****in WEC is gonna be PPV too.

It wasnt that big of a event good fights and well rounded card yeah but they did just have a PPV featuring a big draw Randy Couture 2 weeks prior. The UFC doesnt have many superfights on the table so until then there wont be many huge buyrates coming out IMO.

They need to put more events on Spike, and keep the PPV's to 4 times a year, not like 13 or 14 PPVs per year

    It's a good question.

My guess would be a combination of too many events, the poor quality of recent events and a lack of star power.

UFC 110 may have appeared stacked to hardcore fans, but PRIDE fighters like Wand and Big Nog aren't superstars in the eyes of casual UFC fans. Bisping is hated and Velasquez isn't a proven draw.

Thats why I wonder why people like to argue that a 'stacked' UFC card will outperform a boxing card with a hot 'main event'. The hardcore love the stacked card yes but the causal fan doesnt really care. Main events sell PPV's.

Not forgetting that the main event from UFC 109 was a disgrace.

it would be great if they put on 12 free shows and 12 ppvs. coupled with TUF that would keep me happy all year round.

personally, the more cards the better but i understand for yanks you can't shell out $60 more than once a month.

to many PPV, MMA fans are getting hosed, most of these cards are not even at the level of premin cable tv channels like HBO and showtime

Iv said this time and again the UFC has reached saturation. When something is regularly obtainable it becomes uninteresting and no longer exclusive. This is why PRIDE was so good. The cards were stacked with GREAT ATG fighters and they were months apart. So by the time they came round you were literally chomping at the bit. The UFC is content to put on multiple PPV's with guys no ones heard of, recycle 40 plus year old fighters and all the stars are either on the verge of retiring or out through injury. Im gona say it the UFC is finished.

agree 100% about the pride thing. it was awesome and we couldn't ****in wait for the next card. the thing is right now UFC still seems to be selling lots of PPVs even with all these cards. maybe soon they will put on less cards with more quality? let's hope so. they could easily put on 8 cards a year that are stacked. coleman vs randy should have been about the second fight on a PPV not a main event.

  13. They need more house shows and less premium ppv style.

Do you really believe yourself? You've been saying the same crap for years, they have over 300 fighters under contract they have to put out many cards in order to keep everyone active. not every card is going to get huge numbers but it bulids guys like Cain velasquez and other young guys.

As long as they give free cards away now and then I'm fine with that. Many bars in town carry the ppv's with no cover charge so it's not like you have to shell out 50 bucks every time.

I enjoy looking forward to a card everymonth or less, if it's too much fighting for you just don't watch.

I'd agree with much of this assessment. I used to regularly purchase PPV's, however, I have not purchased one going on two years.
