He has not looked great in his last 2 fights. Maybe JMM ruined him. That fight was pretty brutal and JMM can punch.
I would say give it another go and if he doenst look good then quit and work on his career outside of boxing. He seems to be one of the few that actually has a backup.

    He should retire.

If he cant beat a clown like Paulie "Half A ***" Malignagi hes not going to beat the top fighters at 135 and 140.

This. He's had a nice little career as a boxer, but time to go to law school or whatever it is he wants to do. He's proven that he can't hang with elites, and IMO has more of a future outside the sport.

Watch out for the newbies who always ask fighters to retire after any loss to infest this thread with their worthless existence. 38 fights 35 wins and 3 losses and he should retire, sure.

He can still bring more fights for sure, Malignaggi was a difficult style for him to crack so he's hardly done. If he can't go down in weight then he's better off staying there, going down when he can't do so could ruin him. A few more fights at 140 should be logical, if he couldn't crack through one style there are many different ones out there to try out and 140 isn't empty. I heard Valero might be planning to move up, why not fight him?, or is Valero just continuing to make laughable claims about how he will do this and that with a **** poor record then claims the entire P4P list fears him?

Luckily for him, he goes to college, unlike most boxers.

  12. Hopefully Jenny Craig. If he loses the flab he could be a lot more effective at 126 or 130.

Maybe he burned out at a young age. It happens. Then again his style is so limited. As Paulie and Campbell proved if you can move and you can counter he is an easy target. He also cant win with a cut. Guy is going to turn into a stepping stone or KO victim if he does not get his ass in shape and at 135 or lower and also needs better match making. Maybe turn in pitter patter slaps for hard punching. He can rock guys just a horrific finisher. Guy needs to sit down on those hooks

He's an underrated body puncher for sure though.

Go back to 135 for definet. NO WAY he can compete at 140. They're just too big and too strong for him. Paulie hurt Diaz (And Paulie's got pillows for fists). Imagine what the others could do.. Ouch.

Get a rematch with JMM. That was an epic fight and could be a great payday for the two. I'd definetly pay to see that ****.
