He gave JMM all he could handle early and yes the body work is great for a guy whose punches sound like they have pop and has rocked guys before he never stops any body with blow or KO he always gets the stool quits

i was hoping for katsidis 2 but that wont happen next now because of the mitchell fight, either way he should go back to 135,a fight with the soto/diaz winner would be a good comeback bout.

130, 126 even. All the flab he carries round slows him down, and he may have more power at a lower weight.

Id actually like to see him drop to 130 if he could, honestly i dont think it would be hard for him to shed the extra 5lbs but thats just me, otherwise, give 135 another go.... and never fight at 140 again.

I do however think he should be considering his time in the sport coming to a close, hes got a life waiting for him in the real world and hes proven hes a very good little fighter and hes made some decent cash, id give it one more go and then see how he feels. I didnt like how he looked at all against Malignaggi.... so id like to see him regain some form then fight a fight against a non champ and then challenge someone again.

Back to 135. I think a couple of easier, winnable fights in preparation for one more big one would be good for him. After one more big payday, he probably should retire. His style means he takes a lot of punches to the head, and if he really wants to be a lawyer after he retires, he should get out before he suffers any brain damage.

That's interesting. I had heard that Diaz usually swims instead of doing road work.

Agree. You always get some who want fighters retire lose when they lose a fight or two. Diaz may be on the slide but there are too many fights and paydays for him to walk away from when he is still a young and talented fighter. For him to retire now would be an incredibly bad financial move, he'll make more in a few big fights than he will from years of non boxing work.

This right here should be his gameplan. Make a little more money... and then get the **** out and pursue a less brain damaging career. :!:

Unlike most other fighters, he has a career lined up after boxing where he can continue to make good money for the next 50 years. But if he ends up punch drunk, the paychecks end after he stops fighting.
