If the two had met in 2009, with the Margarito fight version of Mosley vs. the Cotto fight version of Pacquiao, what would have been the outcome?:bbb P.S: Add a few lbs to Pacman if you like as I know he probably would not have came in at the same weight that he did for catch-weight Cotto.
Pac's movement, angles, and accuracy would give Shane a lot of trouble getting set. Shane's legs aren't what they used to be and he is pretty open defensively. On the other hand Shane's punching power, speed, body attack, and right hand bombs (compared to Cotto who doesn't have much of a right hand) would be very dangerous for Pac. It would be a battle, I know that much.
Pac wins at this stage of their careers. Shane does not fight 3 minutes a round. Trying to beat Pac with one KO punch won't do the trick. Pac easy UD or TKO (ref stops the carnage that is becoming a regular scene at every Pac fight nowadays).
Mosley by KO. Mosley can take Pacs power but Pac cant take Mosleys. IMO This would be the most entertaining super fight for a while. They both get tagged quite a lot and both like a brawl. This would be the casual boxing fans dream fight.
It was be a brawl. I don't see Manny enjoying this fight. Shane will hug, elbow and push Manny. Making it s grueling fight. Then beat him to death with combination punching. No one has done that yet.
If Manny uses his speed and distance he will win on points if he stays in the danger zone he will be a target and get stopped
I voted for Pac to win by decision due to his better foot speed and workrate. But there is a reason Pac decided not to fight Mosley.
Mosley can fight.. just like Manny can fight.. Both those dudes rarely get the worse out of a straight up exchange.
A few years ago Mosley would ko pac, right now i'd have to say pac by decision. I noticed Mosley could not even throw combos in the Collazo and Mayorga fights. Remember this guy would unleash fast combos if you even so much as attempted to throw feints at him. Right now is pacs time, only Mayweather has a legit chance of beating him. In a couple years a younger lion will come and dethrone a past prime pac and so on.
