    :rofl

Keep the usual high guard tight as can be
Work the body early and often!
Work the jab a lot - I think Pac will have a tougher time timing his jab than Cotto's - Clottey's jab is quicker
Lead with right hands - they can find Pac and will make you more unpredictable
When you inevitably go into your shell - don't just stand there...counterpunch at times. He'll be open.
Do the opposite of what you did in the late rounds vs. Cotto (THROW PUNCHES - A LOT OF THEM)
Much higher workrate than you're used to...and with solid variety

    Got it, Josh?

...if I had to go w/ one of the poll options, it would be the 2nd.

Clottey always looks very good in the 1st half of fights but slows down later. He needs to throw more punches in this fight. He already throws good jabs, straight rights, combos and body shots, and just needs to pick up his output in this fight.

If he's gonna go after Pacquiao, he must cut off the ring properly and make Pacquiao pay when he lunges in without jabbing. Clottey also needs to use his reach, and double, even tripple jabs followed by quick rights, to disrupt and counter Pac's speed.

The thing is that Clottey's confidence will build as the fight goes on if he doesn't get hurt. Right now you can tell he's a little bit overwhelmed by Pacquiao's recent success and his star status. But if after 3-4 rounds he still feels the fight is close, even if he's lost them all but hasn't taken any hurtful punches, his heart will grow and he will start trying to assert himself. That's when the fight could get really interesting.

This is what I was going to say. It's better to have a good chance even if it's risky. You are expected to loose anyway. Just go with your best shot. And don't ever repeat the same mistake you did with Cotto. If you didn't get a favorable decision then, what more now. So just go for it. If you go down you go down with a fighting chance.

You know its a stupid thread when this

"Hire A Guy To Attack Pacquiao With A Hammer On The Way To The Ring.."

is one of the options and it has the most votes.

Yes, making a thread about the tactical hopes of an 8/1 underdog is a serious thing to begin with.

All those votes represent the genuine seriousness of each person participating.

Everybody else is an *******. Not you.

Lull Pac into fighting with him face to face, toe to toe, and hit him with his sneaky uppercuts.

Jab more. Stiff, heavy, meaningful jabs.

    Rough him up.

COUNTERPUNCHING is the key in winning this fight against PAC.

A bit of option 2 or 3. He has to try that high guard defense bull**** only within the first 3 rounds. He can't out-box Pac with defense and timing... I'd be insanely surprised. I think he knows this. Clottey needs that chin and tight guard at important times... hopefully to find a way to overcome and rough up Pac. The body should help.

Did Diaz really hurt Pac's body? Must have missed that.

Ali was an 8-1 underdog vs Liston.
Holyfield was a 25-1 underdog vs Tyson (1st fight)
Holyfield was a 12-1 underdog vs Tyson (2nd fight)
Rahman was a 20-1 underdog vs Lewis (1st fight)

The point is given the choices it could have been a more serious thread instead its a joke of a thread.

He needs to clinch every now and then this will slow him down ,something every fighter he has face the last 5 years has not done ...instead of letting him roll off tons of punches ...clinching will slow this fight down ,it wont be pretty and maybe boring ,...but a winning strategy wins fights the Camachos been doing it for years.

I think clinching would be hard for him to do.

Roach's instructions of getting the hell away from the ropes at all times, and not staying inside the pocket for more than a couple of seconds of offensive bursts, that will make it a bit harder for Clottey to grab a hold of MP, for 12 rounds.
