I don't like to see him weight jumping, but what are you gonna do?

HBO didn't waste any time jumping on the Bradley bandwagon. In fact, I think both of these guys have only been on Showtime so far in their career.

Abregu is too wild. Bradley is going to break him down. Either a wide UD or a mid to late round KO for Bradley.

I don't see why everybody is whining. I love this fight, this is defo a FOTY canidate. This is a tough fight for Bradley and at Welterweight it may'be a tough task. He is fighting an awkward powerful fighter who is a bit chinny and doesn't have much defense, but massive heart. It will be a great fight probably with Bradley stopping Abregu late.

i agree, it would have made a lot more sense to rematch Campbell. If iam not mistaken the fight is officially a NC right? makes little sense to move out of the weight division you rule for one fight with a virtual no name when you could knock out another contender at your own division and make a statement.

I want to know why he would fight at welter..... why?

Actually this whole ordeal pisses me off, the guy cant get a fight in his weightclass despite being the clear number one, and now is fighting above his weightclass.... wtf. I dont like weightjumping when its not called for, but idk, i guess for whatever reason they wanted to do it.... and its bogus that nobody in the division will fight bradley right now. :-(

Let's see, at 140 he could still face:

    Anthony Peterson
    Edwin Valero
    Juan Diaz
    Kendall Holt
    Ricardo Torres
    Kaizer Mabuza
    Andriy Kotelnik
    Joel Casamayor

I'm not saying they're all great fights, but I'd rather see him take a stay-busy fight at 140 against a relatively big-name in his division to cement his dominance than have him move up to fight a no-name at 147.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

Bradley's earned an easy fight and if he wants to test 147 let him.

your list sucks. Stop acting as if most of those guys were available and or/willing to take a fight with Tim.

I'm surprised that it's not on Showtime. But fighting on HBO is the best thing to come out of this fight for Bradley.

I'm disappointed cause there are alot of fighters that are like Tune up for Bradley to fight. I'm disappointed in Shaw cause he could have atleast try to call Don King and Cunningham for a Bradley vs Alexander showdown that everybody wants to see.

A tune-up is better than no tune, and without knowing too much of Abregu, it's evident that he'll have a decent reach and weight advantage on Bradley, who's small even at 140, so it should be interesting. An April/May date would've been better for the rest of Tim's 2010, but getting Bradley a fight is not easy at any weight. We should be glad he has something scheduled.

This is a very dangerous fight for Bradley. I think a move up to 47 especially against this guy is profoundly idiotic, even if he wins.

Tim is little and 40 is where he belongs. And where the challenges are.

I think he is doing it because the money is probably good and its on HBO.

I would have stayed at 40 and taken someone there. If he can't get a top name take a second tier name.........

dangerous dangerous dangerous I like that but its just stupid dangerous.

IF he wins...he beat Abregu, big deal, if he loses gone its his aura, same thing if he struggles.

just a bad dumb idea but on the other hand it is an extremely fan friendly fight so in that sense it is a GREAT idea!!!
