Pavlik Sounds Off, and He's Pissed!

With how much respect hopkins showed pavlik after the fight, i'm sorta put off by Kelly.

We don't need excuses to accept a loss of a boxer, we just need to see that he knows how to accept it.

Naw. You got it all wrong. Paul said Martinez had already been training for the fight and that it was himself (Paul) at the training disadvantage. Paul wouldn't lie would he? He has said that he wants to fight Kelly but Kelly hasn't the HEART to face him. All here in a front page interview from March 3. Kelly just won't 'man up' and give him the lion's share he deserves for the fight. A career high payday and a shot at the titles Kelly holds is an insult to such a superb fighter as Paul. :rofl

Hopkins didn't just beat him, he humiliated him and made him look stupid he was even connecting with the Apollo Creedesque bolo punch, face it Kelly you're a double jab right hand fighter and you are very average and its a good thing you stayed away from Abraham.

It was PAUL that said Kelly doesn't have the heart to fight him and that he (PAUL) wants the fight. Go look at the interview. All present tense stuff there. That is quite some lip coming from a guy sitting on a career high pay day contract that he won't sign. Personally, I think he is worth less than that offer after the Martinez fight. If Kelly takes care of Martinez in the fashion that I think he should, look for Arum to lower the offer. Cintron will be working to get the offer withdrawn completely. Maybe then Petey will have wished he had done things differently.

 

I'll debate you on that. It's debatable. I say he lasts till five or six at least.

 

Kelly came into camp a SOLID 186. He's down to 180 and this isn't body fat. He's added muscle. The Team is working diligently with his diet.

I have never heard Kelly, go off like that. He was probably over it, but so many people still talk about that Hopkins fight, much more than his victory over Tarver, which was much more impressive. Maybe he is right and alot of people did want him to lose for some reason. I don't know why though, b/c he seems like a good guy.

Too bad he's fighting Sergio, though. He should have stuck will Paul.
