Scott has some solid skills but he never took a serious step up. With over 30 pro fights he should have been looking to face top 20 guys or better. Now he seems semi retired at best. Disapppointing that he never took that step up, I would've liked to see how that played out.
man, he is not that good, His style is very boring, just excuses, man your American HW, if you had big time ability, you would be fast track to a title and making 7 number dollars on HBO or Showtime, he is just another fighter who think he should be making million.
Charles, my man, this guy is horse ****. He should get a real promotor. He mentioned three names of guys who he wanted to fight: Vitali Klitschko. Vitlai is a champion. Scott has done nothng what-so-ever to prove he deserves a shot. Solis. Solis is s contruct who only fights the most cherry picked fights. Thompson- Thompson is a ranked contender who put up a very respectable showing agaisnt Wlad Klit. He has no right to be in the ring with any of these guys. How about some mid level fights agaisnt Mike Sprott, Sergei Lyakovich, Taurus Bidenko, Taursu Sykes, Timor Igragimov, Timo Hoffman, Bruce Seldon, Gbenkga Olukun, Monte Barret, etc. etc. before he tries to challenge a champuon, a top 5 guy, and a media construct who noone is going to crack before he himself gets an undeserved title fight? No fight in two years? Couser and Bachelder are not available? Fight ANYBODY. Then call out a Klit bro.
I have to agree but I think that Solis and Thompson are not horrible opponents for him. He clearly doesn't deserve a shot at the title ie Vitali or Wlad. But it is high time for him to step up. If he were to beat Solis or Thompson he would go a long way to earning a shot at a belt.
He just said that he always wanted to take the step up but nobody wanted to fight him. I think most fans dont know whats it like behind the scenes.
scott is a decent fighter who will be eliminated from the scene once he tries to fight a good fighter. he'd be a decent sparring partner for the top dawgs.
Come on, now. Everyone else manages to find a path by fighting mid-level guys, and yet the entire boxing world is running from MAlik Scott. There is a path, he just wants to pick his opponents.
