    :deal

Could all members observe a reasonable etiquette regarding the posting of spoilers.

    Acceptable methods of posting include:

    1. A reasonably titled thread, comprising blackened text which can be highlighted should someone want to read it.
    2. A reasonably titled thread, basically offering results upon receipt of a PM.
Not wishing to single anyone out of course, but plenty of people are pissed off because they already know the result of a fight that won't be on telly for over an hour.

    Edit - thanks to chrisfinch

Not wishing to sound like a ****, but if there is already a thread on the main page titled ''Is Fighter A vs Fighter B on Sky?'' - don't post a new one :good

Another useful etiquette tip that should be stickied...

FFS look back a couple of pages before starting a new thread, as the chances are it has been done before. We've had a gazillion threads about Berto v Quintana and Pacquaio v Clottey on sky this week, and sometimes there are already 1 or 2 on the first page that people are just too lazy too look at.

    Thank you Beeston.

Bout time cos i've noticed this **** creeping up way to much recently. I'm not a fan of spoiler threads anyways but if people must know who won before the shows even started then as above please show some class.

On some other forums you can post a spoiler box, which needs to be clicked on to be read. Seeing as this is a sport forum they should probably try and get that sorted here, if enough people are bothered of course. If you are waiting to watch a fight on delay you'd be a fool to come on here anyway

Or add SPOILER to the thread title and just say the bout it involves so for Pacquiao vs Clottey

    A title would read

    'Pacquiao vs Clottey SPOILER'

And the immediate text after it should not give away the result so when someone accidently highlights the thread the result aint given away.

Yeah - I'm not against spoilers in particular, but don't want to have the result forced upon me.... I'd like to be able to look should I wish.

But that said, Boxrec would more than likely have it anyway, so what's the ****ing point?

Yours was fine mate, it was tucked away in a thread.... rather than a ''KELL BROOK WON BY TKO 6'' thread.

I've got the other results as well..... :yep
