Yeah eventually EBU title should be the goal. He beat the Italian handy enough from what I saw (Round 7 onward) but theres still stuff to work on before he's even EBU level. He should take a couple of defences against slightly better opposition first.

He was wide open for the left hook for a start. Hate to sound like I'm nitpicking but he'd get starched by anyone with power doing that. Also, his own power needs to improve. Your man looked shattered a long way out and he wasn't able to KO him. Chianella had been KO'ed twice in his last 5 fights so was ripe for the plucking

Anyway, thats what he needs to improve on before he jumps up to EBU title level. He may need a win over a Marsh or someone.

Boxrec agrees with my scores. Who knew I spoke Italian!

 yeah I checked boxrec straight after your post and was surprised it was in so quickly. Would you fancy paulie against matthew marsh- he gave booth an uncomfortable night. Granted booth was below par on the night

Not yet I wouldn't. Need to keep that right hand nice and high. He also badly need a bit more power to progress. Give Mike McGurn a ring is what I say! He has some techincal flaws that need to be addressed too.

Alos, again I presume he did it because the Italian had no power, he stood in front at stages and let the Italian work the body. Had no effect tonight but its not something he could do as he moves up. I'm sure he knows that too.

He needs two or three fights to progress then he should think about stepping up to the next level and fighting a couple of top 10 EBU fighters then maybe think about a shot at the EBU itself.

No reason, as the belt holder now, he can't get 2 or 3 defences in by the end of the year.
