Fine sentiments mate but thats not how it happens these days (which, as you say, is a reason why boxing isn't as popular as it was). Warrens plan will be something like Cleverly will be worked into a world title shot first, if he wins the title he'll defend against Bellew. If he fails to win the world title he'll fight Bellew with the winner to get a title shot.
the guys brook beat is 100x better than Atoli Moore. Brook won the british title outright which is more than others listed.
Good O'l Fwank has it all worked out down to a tee, I'm sure. Hope Bellew is moved quickly from here, late twenties. He should be in his peak over the next few years so they really do need to move it on very fast.
im reading through the posts. maybe im just not seeing it because he looked awkward to watch but that performace showed us anything new about Bellew. which is why i dont understand the excitment in this thread. i just wanna see him fight someone decent
I know. Yet I get called a hater for criticising a lot of current fighter perceived as 'ATG's'. I can hardly be called an old stick in the mud either. It's patently obvious, the manafacturing of resumes is what's putting people off. Fighters should fight their top rivals before ascending to World honours. This and the easily available 'world straps' mean fighters get I'd easier nowadays. Of Bellew and Cleerly fought for the European strap it would have as much meaning as The WBO because they're both taking stern tests by taking each other on. The strap just makes it easy to bull**** about it being a 'super dipper world champioship fight fest', when in fact the fight males perfect sense now. I mean, who at Domestic level is gonna conceivably test either of these guys? And which top World class operators are either ready for at this time? See what I mean?
No offence but you just claimed his defence looked suspect when he wasn't hit with a single punch, your analysis is a bit suspect in this thread.
ok im gonna watch it again now and then let u no again. you guys gotta admit if degale started saying "whos next" after beating an african you would be calling him a **** ??
You obviously don't think opposition faced is that important when ranking a fighter. I guess that explains why you think so highly of Floyd mate.
I totally agree with you Flea, I was just saying that its not going to happen.:good Years ago these 2 would have fought for the Euro title (maybe even the Brit) with the winner going on to fight for the world title. These days its different.:-(
Yeah the whos next wasn't to smart but the defence was brilliant tonight not to many fighters do the shoulder roll and counter well off it but Tony did it tonight, i thought all the stuff about him being good technically was all talk but he showed tonight he knows what to do.
