well simple question. I'm not asking if you'd crown him Sugar Ray Robinson I'm just asking if you would acknowledge that it is a good win that solidifies his current status in the sport.

    no hate thread.

its a multiple choice poll by mistake, vote for one option.

Yes. I think Clottey is being brought in to lose. However, he's a good fighter. He has some defense, and a two fisted attack. None of Pac's previous 4 opponents featured these qualities.

I also believe that this is Pacquiao's stiffest challenge since the Marquez fight.

I give credit to any fighter who gets in the ring and fights for a living. Fighting a guy in the top 10 is fighting a guy in the top 10. You can't choose who is highly ranked in a division, you can only fight who is there at the time.

That doesn't change my opinion that Clottey does not have much of a chance to win this fight. 1 KO in his last 11 fights, and a tendency to fade late. Clottey's high guard and come forward style is perfect for Manny as well, and Roach knows it.

People are putting way too much stock into size and not enough into skill and speed.

Ive just seen the weigh in video. Pacquiao is seriously dwarfed there. If Pacquiao somehow manages to dominate and stop that guy, he goes up a few notches on ATG lists. I hate to make comparisons with floyd but this reminds me of his fight with Baldo except more dangerous for pacquiao. Mayweather couldnt affect baldo with his punches, if pcaquiao can then his power at 147 should be judged with the rest of the all time ATGs at WW.

Hell yeah clottey is a legit test, right thurr. I said before, that it should have been Pac vs clot in the first place. I had him winning vs Cotto. The Rican ran all night and did not deserve the win.He is tougher and stronger than hatton and cotto and won't run he will keep coming at Pac.

Of course. Clottey is a great fighter. Big, strong, defensively sound. The definition of "high risk/low reward", Manny should be commended for taking this fight.

I'll give him credit, but I fully expect him to win with ease.
