The guy isn't getting any younger and M1 have decided that doesn't mean **** because M1 uses him as a pawn to bully other orgs. It doesn't look like Fedor will be fighting till the end of 2010 at best which means he is back on a fight a year pace. At Some point does he not tell M1 he wants to fight instead of trying to **** around other orgs. M1 is wasting the best mma fighter of all time for their own purposes and it pisses me off.

Sorry I had to vent. :fire

M-1 Global hit new snag over deal with Strikeforce, Fedor return on hold
    This content is protected
M-1 Global have found something new to stall over while renegotiating with Strikeforce over the terms of their joint agreement, explaining that the way the media promoted the show in November left many people unaware that it was a co-promotion.
Speaking via Yahoo!Sports.com, M-1 Global spokesman, Eugene Kogan said:
“The way the show was promoted, that was an issue to us, but we don’t have an issue with Strikeforce over it. M-1 isn’t a management company for Fedor Emelianenko. We are a fight promotion… But the media didn’t feature the M-1 name… Specifically, it wasn’t Strikeforce’s fault. They honored their agreement. The way the media perceived the event was it was Strikeforce. M-1 wasn’t promoted that much. That was an issue with us.”
On the issue of Fedor Emelianenko’s next fight, Kogan said that even talk of a June return was “premature”, adding:
“We’re almost there. Once we get that part out of the way, then we’ll decide on an opponent and a date. No fight is scheduled.”
Many fans and people in the media have called this latest move deliberate stalling tactics on the behalf of M-1 Global as they attempt to flex their promotional muscle in the world of MMA. It makes you wonder whether they would try this sort of thing had they hooked up with the UFC or whether they feel they bully Strikeforce into the position they want.

Since Finkel lured him in by giving him 20% of the company Fedor might have to stick around and fight whenever M1 can agree with the other org they require because they can only piggyback other org's and try to **** them.

I wish Fedor would forget the politics and stick to fighting. When he joined SF I thought at least for the next few fights there would be no drama.

It's not SF fault it's M1, they try to bleed every last cent out of the org they "CO-Promote" with. Fedor's career and the fans will lose out as long as M1 is in business.

well the first problem is that fedor is the fighter that everyone wants to see and his business side of things is what is stopping that from happening. dana is in it just as a business and to his credit seems to put together the fights most fans want to see. something that isn't a concern for fedor.

Fedor making money is not the problem, It's Finkel with his hands in everybody elses pocket that is. Fedor could be fighting more but Finkel is always making it hard for the guy to even get a fight.

  10. Fedor has been sucked into the politics. He had a legit standing in relation to UFC but now it seems as though he might not be the sage he once appeared.

  11. Fedors next scheduled fight will happen end of May to early June, the guy has been more active than Lesnar over the past year and has had as many fights as most of the UFCs top HW.

Fedor is also fighting the best from around the world and fighting different fighters with different styles, unlike those UFC fighters who only fight locally. With Brock they wanted him to fight Mir for the third time, what is that 6 fights (if that happens) and three of them against the same guy? Thats just lame.

Considering Lesnar spent most of the year recovering from a serious illness, you are damning with faint praise.

The second part is just ignorant.

    Stalling Fedor's career?

    Don't be silly.

The man has had an absolute stellar career. An ATG of MMA. Even if he never fights again he's already cemented his legacy.

He'll more than likely get beat one of these day's and all the Johnny-come-latley ***gots will be 'oh i told you so he was so over rated' 'He was never that good in the first place' etc etc etc etc

The man was a crushing machine!

Its not ignorant if its factual Beebs, unless I'm missing something, what he stated in his second point is irrefutable *the part about Lesnar fighting the same 3 fighters in 6 fights.*

Your point is valid as well, but, am I missing something?

UFC fighters only fighting "locally"? Implying that Only Fedor fights people with different styles? It's just asinine.
