Let's Settle This Once And For All: Vitali Klitscho vs Tyson?

So we found some common ground then since I too think Ali would beat Tyson. :yep I also think Foreman beats Tyson prime for prime.

I'm surprised the results are a landslide.
But I agree with the majority, Tyson knocks out Vitali badly.

I just didn't think a lot of posters would see it the same way.

 

Ali's foot speed and movement combined with his skill would be too much for Tyson but he would also beat everyone else so it doesn't matter, As for Foreman I see it as more of a tossup, Foreman hits harder but Tyson is faster and more skilled.

 

Vitali doesn't have the footspeed or movement to trouble a peak Tyson, I suppose you think the shell of Tyson that Lewis beat was near prime.... :rofl

 

Ali has the style and skill to beat Tyson not Vitali, whats so hard to get.

 

Prime or not, Tyson's getting knocked out by Vitali. Bringing Vitali's movement into consideration suggests that Tyson stands any chance at all of winning the fight at range and that Vit would have to track him down, and I don't see how Tyson's going to be doing any scoring from the outside against Vitali period. Linger in the mid-range and try to stick and move for 12 rounds? Is Mike disciplined enough to do that and good enough to win against Vitali that way? I don't see it.

Mike would have to go into the lion's den and try to take the fight to Vitali. After eating Vitali's uppercuts and Vitali not folding, he'd crack. I rate Mike's head to head heavyweight prowess highly, but an undersized swarmer like Mike is about the best style matchup available for Vitali.

I was not talking about how hard it would be for Mike to hit Vitali, I was just saying, he had the power to knock out even the most granite of chins if he were to land clean.:good

 

Tyson's superior speed would allow him to get inside were his faster and heavier hands would do more damage, Vitali isn't fast enough to keep Tyson outside, and Tyson would be much better inside, Who has vitali beaten thats even remotely close to Tyson in ability?

 

:thumbsup If anyone could get inside it would be Tyson, and Mike did have the power to dent just about any chin. I just don't think he gets to land his money punch early enough and often enough to stop Vitali.

Please, Tyson would bob & weave, use his superior head movement and speed to get inside and stop Vitali with a TKO a lot like he did with Bruno. I feel a similar end, around round 4.

Lou Savarese 6'5" 240 and Frank Bruno 6'4" 250 (2nd fight) are most comparable to Vitali's size. Look what happened to them. Same weight, 2-3inches taller. I see a similar fate.

 

Lewis? Won? You got it wrong. Lennox was lucky to cut Vitali otherwise he would have lost the fight.

And he didn't want a rematch because he knew Vitali would beat him.

And didn't he JUST beat Tyson? How the **** was Lennox shot?

And I love how people compare Savarese and Bruno with Vitali. Yeah, they have about the same skills. :hi:

Vitali is just to big and too skilled for poor Mike. He can't KO Vitali and there's no way he wins a decision. Mike will get frustrated in the latter rounds and take more changes leaving himself open. Vitali TKO in the late rounds.

it's fun to read your comments - but please - Tyson would've been mentally KO'ed even before the bell rang for the first round - only by vitali's staredown. sure, Mike was fast in his prime (that lasted two years?) but concerning his self confidence and his personality he always was and still is a midget. He would've been intimitaded soon, lost by Ko in round three or would have been disqualified in round two because of trying to bite vitalis nipples.

 

Neither Vitali or Wladimir can mentally intimidate Tyson like what Douglas did. They can't cope with Tyson's speed and skills. Vitali and Wladimir can be broken down and outboxed. Vitali couldn't even knock out Chris Byrd, Tyson with Kevin Rooney as his trainer is on a whole different level.

 

Tyson isn't Kirk Johnson, Kirk Johnson isn't even half of what Tyson was in his prime. And Tyson is no Chris Byrd either. Tyson would rip up Vitali, hell he would rip up both brothers.

Lets not forget Vitali couldn't beat a very inactive and old Lennox Lewis.
