I was there 2nite aswell Dodson looked as if he had aged, got caught a few times and it looked as if he didn't want to be there, but good heart shown by Smith with the cuts
The one over the eye was terrible for the first 4 or 5 rounds then they got it patched up. The one on his forehead was really deep that was constantly getting opened. Williamson done an amazing job
thank god the main event was half decent ive been to many shows in my time and tonight was possibly the worst one ever, full of terrible mismatches anyone else that went agree?
Appologies , you fought well , i had it a little closer than the score cards , but had Paul up by two points (three after the deduction). If you watch a tape of the fight , look at how well you fought inside in the last round , a bit more of that rather than the holding , and i think you would be the belt holder today.
I sold my ticket to a mate last week after examining the farcical undercard. TBA was the most dangerous opponent on the bill, certainly compared to Atoli Moore anyway.
As well as he fought very occasionally on the inside, as soon as he did start getting shots off, smith responded. Dodson didn't want it last night end of. But it was also to do with the fact that smigga was bringing the fight to dodson.
I agree Neil, it was very poor. It was great to see Tony Bellew in action. I got your PM. My iPhone is playing up so could not get your number off here to ring you. We were in Block 111 it was a good spec, Jimmy Neary was sat behind us. Where were you sat...:think Are you going to Haye v Ruiz...:think
lower tier block 3 i think, the highlight of the night for me was the top quality tarzan impression someone did or the ringgirl who couldnt even walk, deffo the worst show ive ever been to, yep prety sure im going haye ruiz, leigh next fri looks a good bill a few decent 50/50 fights, oh the lad that fought tobias webb just before smith/dodson poss the funniest boxer ive ever seen duncan or sumthn his name was i think
Was good to see Smith in shape for a change, he did look in good nick last night. Still, he should be fighting at middle really. I'm not always a huge Paul Smith fan but I thought he showed great guts and determination to get through the cuts early on last night. I thought Dodson had the upper hand early doors but Smith broke him down well. However, he's got to start using his skills more going forward - if he keeps on telegraphing the right hand and getting frustrated when people don't stand in front of him, when he steps up a level he's going to come unstuck quickly...
