Many people are seeing this as a joke and that he's guaranteed to lose and is just in it for the pay day.

Here are some quotes of today

"LOL, amir's a ****ing joke. hes crazy if he thinks he can fight mayweather"

":lol: he just wants a payday like every other joke"

Okay first of all, does anyone even know that Bob Arum offered Amir a fight with Manny Pacquiao before the Cotto fight? Amir's Dad (Shah) said it's not a good time as Khan would probably be beaten. And he's right)
(if you guys want sources then I'll give you plenty)

So Amir is not in for the payday. If he can sell out 22,000 seat arena's by fighting an old legend at the age of 22 then don't you think he can keep going with that and still end up making a big payday?

And how come people can see Devon Alexander or Timothy Bradley in with them two know but not Khan?

He even said "In 18 months" which is probably when Khan will be in his prime. Alot of people know he has all the talent in the world yet people think Khan is over his head?

Did anyone think about it stylistically? I personally think Mayweather and Pacquiao would have problems with his style.

People need to accept the fact that other boxers can beat these P4P'ers. They aren't invincible you know. Styles make fights and I think Khan has a good shot in 18 months.

i'm sorry if this will upset you, but khan will never be as good as any of the other boxers you have mentioned in that list. he has good speed, average (or thereabout's) power, alright stamina (though not properly tested due to always fighting bum's) and a glass jaw to end all glass jaws.
he picked up a paper championship in a loaded division and i can't see him beating the two current best fighters in his division (bradley and alexander) let alone pacquiao or mayweather.

khan needs to clean up the 140 division before he can even think about Pacquiao or Mayweather, which isnt an easy task given the competition there.

Because so far he has fought nobodies and has beens. He has improved greatly recently and had the chance to prove this against Maidana but chose Paulie instead. I dont doubt he could do well at the very top but before he talks about fighting the p4p no1 and 2 he needs to get in the ring with Maidana, Alexander and Bradley. 3 victories from those then he can talk up fights against the elite till then he just sounds foolish.

Fair enough, your opinion. I never said he will beat them but I personally believe he has a good shot. I'm not over my head, I do think realistically aswell and don't think Khan will be great. I hope he proves me wrong.

Im english and I am a fan of khan however devon alexandra and timothy are ahead of khan at the moment

devon just stopped junior witter and Urango

Mayweather is far too smart for khan. I feel he would land his cuffing left hook and that would be the end.

khan is amazing at long range very good mid range but...khan can not fight inside one bit. floyd would shuffle forward against khan like he did with ndou. staying in the pocket he would beat khan up.

I hear that after Pacquiao fights Khan he's going to fight Prescott. If he should win, I mean.

I don't think there is anything wrong with aiming to fight the very best but he's hardly taking on all comers at the moment, he should forget about Mayweather unless he's still boxing in 3 or 4 years time as he will have to move up a weight division and get experience their first.

Saying that fight Mayweather would be a no lose situation anyway for Khan this early in his career.

Gtfo with the sarcasm. You haven't realised my point. The fight with Pac and Khan would never probably go ahead anyway even if Arum offered it. The fact that Khan declined a pay day is what I'm getting at.

If you only want to joke around then don't post on this thread.

Lets Match Khan up against some of the top talent in the 147-140 range.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.- KO 8, he might win one round if Mayweather allows him to.
Manny Pacquiao- TKO 3, At least he survived longer than Hatton
Shane Mosley- TKO 5, Shane roughs him up then lands a big lunging shot that essentially ends it.
Timothy Bradley- KO 2, Bradley beats him like a redhead stepchild 6 minutes straight
Devon Alexander- KO 9, Catches him coming in beats him in similar fashion to Mayweather.

Well lets look at his record against the 5 top guys in the 140-147 region. 0-5 with all 5 losses ending with a trip to the Hospital.

I give Khan credit for wanting to throw his in with the best, but I do think he would be in over his head with both those guys. His offensive skills might be good enough to compete, but he is a ballchinian and would likely get ktfo. Just saying.

btw cant wait till khan fights bradley and alexander

khan may not have the chin good as them but i will bet over 100 quid on khan beating them both. he is more talented than them, if only khan was american, he would be over hyped like those 2

Either way, the PAC fight is highly questionable, particularly because they both have the same trainer, I like Khan as a fighter but he can be really ******ed sometimes.
