a world class fighter like froch will take advantage of smiths lungeing in. he needs to clean up his game, to learn that not every shot needs to be a power shot!!

I don't think Smith broke him down at all, it was just the same old Dodson doing nothing in the final third of the fight. Crap fight between two average British fighters.

Smith should fight Dilks, saying that no doubt it would be another dull affair.

Dilks is WAY behind smith right now!! that would be a major step back for smigga. Smith should fight magee for the european belt just to see how he steps it up. imo, smiths professional career is only just starting. hes been on amir khan undercards for years and hes only just now starting to learn things from fights :deal

Am not to sure about that, he holds the British Title but he aint nothing special if he fights Dilks id say 55/45 in favour of Smith, Smith will probably fight Magee but he won't win that imo, Magee 117-111 something like that. Quigley,Smith,Dodson and Dilks are all British class fighters nothing more.

If De Gale and Groves could do 12 right now they would beat Smith.

Both of them are at least a class above Smith. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he fought Quigley, but he fought pretty much the same way against Dodson - he is very average and he has found his level.

hes 27 and hes only just starting to have big fights, how can you say he has found his level? give hima few more big fights, see what he learns and how he improves and then u can say wether hes found his level or not.

its hard to look good against quigley and dodson, even froch looked average against dodson until he knocked him out (heared dodsons mates made a few quid off that)

Was interesting to hear Smith talking about world title shots last night post fight. Still to early for him at the moment because from what I've seen in his last two fights he's got massive amounts of courage and determination, but not the skills to back it up. I think he needs more imagination and variety coming forward because a quality counter puncher with fast hands would give him fits the way he lunges in

Degale has the tools to give Smith nightmares because he would just pick him off onthe way in all night long. Groves would be more of a war I think at the moment.

I'd like to see Paul defend the British again and then take on Magee and won that before there's more talk of world titles

Hahahah mate you aere deluded, have you ever seen any of Froch's fights? He is a very slower starter, he nearly snapped Tony in two in the third round ffs :rofl.

Hard to look good against Quiqley you say? I seem to remember a young 19 year old called Nathan Cleverly in his 7th fight stopping him in 5.

this will hopefully come with more experience against better opponents, not holders and grapplers like quigley and dodson.

well the word around liverpool, and has been ever since, is that tony threw that fight with froch. maybe he did, maybe he didnt.

you cant say that because cleverley stopped him AT LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT then smith shoulda ko'd him at super middleweight. thats just about the daftest thing ive ever heared.

The power?? What ****ing power? You could see Smith's punches coming from the MEN arena never mind the echo arena, considering he is supposed to be some monster puncher who has fought no one of great note a 50% ko rate doesn't exactly say " knockout artist ".

De gale is more polished has more in his arsenal is faster and overall has better skills, if and when De Gale does 12 rounds it would be an easy nights work against Smith.
