Williams defence is hovering somewhere between atrocious and non-existent.

 

Williams defense is better then Pavlik clearly but of course you'll say no correct?

 

I think sometimes that Pavlik plays down to his opponent. A perfect example of this was his fight against Espino. He knew that Espino couldn't hurt him, so he gave up his defense to I guess excite the fans. Not always the smartest thing to do. It does show a lack of focus. I think in the Hopkins fight he wasn't a 100% AND I honestly think he though he would walk all over an "OLD" Hopkins. Obviously, that was a very bad mistake. I don't think Pavlik will make that mistake again though. Pavlik does have a decent defense WHEN he does choose to use it. I think he's taking this fight very seriously. I think we will also see a very good version of Pavlik in this fight. I see Kelly going down on an off balance Sergio shot in the 2nd round, after Kelly get's a few rounds to feel Sergio out though, I see several knockdowns of Martinez, and then ultimately an 8th round stoppage of Sergio. This will be Pavliks redemption fight. :bbb

 

No, it's not. Pavlik actually keeps his guard up and can sort of block punches. Williams blocks punches with his teeth and wears his guard around his ankles.

 

Who gets knockdown more? Who gets busted it up more? Come on man.
