**** he aint that bad mate. were just wait and see how it goes when/if he steps it up. wont be fighting for a while with those cuts either
when he was knockin guys out at will @ the start of his pro career. pretty entertaining i thought!! also, he lookde really good against matumla on the khan v berrera undercard. matumla had had over 40 fights and NEVER been floored... smigga floored him three times in the 2nd round. he looked good against bilak too, boxed his ears off considering bilak was the bigger man (had to look on boxrec to get the guys name. i watch all of smiggas fights but i forget his opponents names ) Needs more experience against top opponents and also needs to learn about range, combo's and grappling.
not different levels, just different styles. thats the problem with being a frank warren fighter, you get to fight on undercards for about 5-6 years and then you start fighting good domestic fighters and fringe world class fighters. hes only now just starting to gain experience at top domestic level.
What you talking about? Smith had his chance in a British Eliminator 2 years ago and lost, if he won that he would of had his chance to fight for the British Title two years ago but he lost against a **** fighter. Nothing to do with being on undercards he got his chance in his 24th fight and ****ed it up. He would of been onto european/world class right now if he had won and kicked on, but thats his problem he aint good enough.
i know, hes got it all but it just doesnt come together. also, when he lunges in with that right hand, he cant keep his back foot on the floor so he needs to cut that **** out str8 away :nono
yeah ur right. in most peoples opinion he won that fight, but he shoulda done better so he has no one to blame but himself i suppose :|
I don't think it was a robbery mate typical Smith fight imo, very scrappy close rounds, it could of gone either way similar to the Quigley fight.
if the ref was in charge of the smith v quigley fight, quigley would have got the decision cos refs cant count punches landed can they? they can only go on who looks better and who puts the work in and bendall looked more in control because, even tho smith landed the better punches, he looked sloppy. thats what the controversy was!!
wadya think about Vitali Tsypko as a next opponent for smigga? good, southpaw boxer with experience and will be a step up for smith? see how he handles him!!
yes yes yes. No one is calling smigga a world beater, but what the **** was he meant to do with a plastic warrior who gave loads of mouth but came to survive. Dodson calls himself a full blow smw, well you were dealt with dodson. Smith should have done a course in mma for his ****ing fights against quigley and dodson. The win against matumla was good, but i want to know where all this **** about barker being able to handle smigga comes from. What has barker done? Smigga IS proving himself to me. I think he HAS got things he needs to do better, like switching attack a bit better, and not getting too right hand happy. However, as i have said, when your opponent wants to hold and dive in head first, you can only do what you can do. I mean the kell brook fight for example. I watched 6 of the most dull rounds of boxing i have ever seen, as his opponent covered up and held, fair enough kell got to him in the end, but it didn't shed himself in the greatest of light. Kell's fault, not at all
