Not to me, but I enjoy less talking most of the time.

No, not at all to me, Jazz. But Joe Tessitore is the only man I know who can sound like he's straining to take a crap and still be monotonous at the same time.

If Lampley sounds like a robot then the Brit Lennox Lewis sounds like a damn sea donkey.

He old as dirt and so he speaks very deliberately. Don't know how that makes him sound like a "robot".

Our guys get very excited. Not too clever, but they are good for the big fight atmosphere. Ian Darke is a good example.

Lampley sounds positively bored compared to him.

You probably don't think he sounds like one.

I agree with you. The Brit announcers are more lively and passionate compared to HBO. Somehow I find the HBO announcers insipid and monotonous, not much dynamics.

I actually prefer the sky commentators, they just have more passion. Just stick Merchant in the background adding in his 1 liners now and then and you have a team!

Well, yeah, they sound excited if the home fighter is winning or they think he's winning. But if something bad happens to their guy all the excitement heads out the door in a hurry.

I remember the British announcers for the Hatton fight. It sounded like they were at a funeral when Hatton got steamrolled. Pretty unprofessional.

Lampley has his good nights. And bad nights.

But I prefer him over everyone else.

No. He takes a while to get used to him; but, once you do, he's very dynamic and exciting.

Not at all. Lampley is pretty lively and animated. Merchant is apathetic and monotonous (plus hilarious as ****). Are you getting the two mixed up or something?

Anyway, Lampley is the man. He gets a lot of **** from the fans and can be a bit of a cheerleader at times, but when he's on..he's one of the best, if not the best in the business. I cringe at the thought of HBO W.C.B. and PPV events with Bob Papa in his spot. :yikes
