Any weight, any style ,whether its boxing ,Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai......the greatest fighter in the world is 185 lber Anderson Silva. Better than Roy Jones, Chuck Liddell, Wladimir Klitchko, Floyd Mayweather or Randy Couture. He would beat all of them.
You are wrong. Wlad would possibly punch his head clean off his shoulders. And I don't think much of Wlad.
He's good, but best fighter in the world? No. If the mixed martial world has taught us ANYTHING is that almost anyone (with actual skill) and beat ANYONE on any given night. The same holds true to boxing, but in MMA it's so much more pronounced, as one very small mistake and it's game over 3 seconds later.
Yeah, but Anderson Silva CAN fight. Anyone who enjoys boxing will enjoy watching him fight. Basically a pure striker who can defend himself on the ground.
Anderson is a natural welterweight fighting at 185 and i have watched him is whole career, right now hes the best, just crushed franklin again.
I am talking about ANY style. Silva is THE best. But him in the ring or octagon with ANYBODY and he wins. He beats Calzaghe, Roy Jones, Mormeck, Chuck Liddell, Rampage Jackson, either Klitchko. He beats anyone in a fight!
He beats anyone in the world 185 lbs or under, but saying he beats Rampage or Fedor, that's a stretch.
The way Anderson looked last night..Rampage and any of these 205'ers needs to prove to me otherwise that they can beat Silva. When a Matt Hume trained you for a specific strategy in a fight and a guy like Franklin cnt execute it...the guy you're fighting is as close to an unbeatable there is in MMA. When trying to get into someones guard is becoming near impossible...think about this..just trying to get into Silvas guard!! you know that playing field has been changed
Damn, get off the mans sack guys.. He can beat Fedor? Look.. He would probably be beaten by Henderson, would be a great scrap, but nobody ko's Henderson.. Fight ends up on the ground and Henderson will grind out a win.. Too strong and experienced a ground fighter to be defeated by Silva on the ground.. HEY! Did you guys forget Rampage just beat Dan Henderson?
