Jose needs the money bad. There's no other reason he continues.

I respect castillo and understand needing money, but this sucks.

I hate younger fighters who build up false reputations on older money needing former stars.

:deal Yeah I also hate it when I'm thinking in my head,"Man, this guy in his prime woulda destroyed this younger fighter".

I think Castillo is way past his best and not at his best weight. I think he is a name to the Mexican people and that is why he is on this card. I think it will be a good win for Gomez or at least a good name. Gomez doesn't hit all that hard so I figure it will go the distance.

He seemed respectful enough when he beat Gatti but then again Gatti's accomplishments were winning the fans over more so than major fights.

Gomez will probably pot shot and outbox a tired Castillo to a convincing UD.

Why is Castillo even fighting on the undercard here?

You know, I don't see him doing it. I think he realises that he is just a name and probably only a fraction of what he was. And lets remember that Gomez was supposed to be a succesful swan song for Gatti and most thought he would win. There's a lot to like about Gomez and I hope he wins well tonight.

Hopefully not, but even taking the fight makes him suspect in my book.

He really couldn't turn it down, though, could he? Your promoter gets you a fight on the undercard of a major event and gives you a good payday, you can't tell him "no, thanks, I don't want to fight a shot Castillo."
