Tyson often fought reckless, and a lot of his success relied on his opponent's fear and hesitance to initiate exchanges. Vitali is all wrong for any version of Tyson, the guy was in his prime when he got dismantled by Douglas, imagine the beating Vitali would've dished out.
And yes, a lot of claims of Tyson's invincibility are based on the many YouTube highlight reels of Mike knocking out some of the best tomato cans of the 80's.

In all fairness, the Buster version of Tyson was already damaged goods. AFAIK, he was beat up in sparring before the fight, he had extreme mental issues leading up to the fight, hampering his training.

A prime Tyson is fast enough to give Vitali similar trouble as Byrd did regarding landing on him, and has a much better offense than Byrd to score more than that one could. I would give early prime Tyson a good chance to win a clear decision, but no way could he bomb out Vitali "early".

Why was Lewis fated? Because he looked bad against Vitali? Maybe it was Vitali that made him look bad. And he was lucky to win. That's way everyone wanted the rematch.

Sure, and he knew he was getting his ass kick.

I was talking about the time he boxed against Vitali not now, genius.

I love the excuses Tyson fans come up with.

 We had are disagreements over the past few years, but I try to be fair with my opinions. Vitali is a tough fight for just about any great heavyweight, and coming into the fight I know he wont go down easy like most of Tyson's oppenents of the late 80's. I do feel however Tyson's speed, power, and skillset at that time. May infact be too much for Vitali to handle. His chin and jab will keep it competitive, but as the fight goes on Vitali's hands will begin to drop more and Tyson's hook begin to find a home. Tyson will look to bring the big tree down with vicious body shots early on, which will graduate up higher as Vitali starts to bring his hands down lower. Speed kills RUSKULL, and Tyson had a ton of it at that time.

BTW, what's this "Bruno wasn't good" **** ? Bruno was very good, maybe not the best his time had to offer, but still top 10 material.

Every time I see the Kbros fight I think to myself "these are the best the heavyweights in the world?! . . . how pathetic!" even the highlight reel shows the crappy technique they both have! without a doubt tyson by a bone chilling knock out. there are a lot of Kbros nuthuggers out there only 2.5-1 for tyson now . . . that is f'n unbelievable! I really do not know how people who call themselves fans and take the time to post on this board could see it any other way. the Kbros would be nothing but top contenders in any other era.

no, because he was noticably slowing down before the vitali fight. plus he was at his career heaviest along with being up there in age. vitali had no choice BUT to look a little good against lewis since lewis was ripe for the taking. hell, even rahman probably couldve beat lewis at that point.

whatever, vitali couldnt kick his ass when he was old and ill-prepared. cant imagine what lewis wouldve done if he were prepared and had time to train

well by the "JUST" comment you make it sound as if it happened last night. forgive me, use a better choice of words net time.

as if klitschko nutters dont use a plethora of excuses when they're guy(s) loses. hypocritical much?

I think Vitali is a much better fighter than all the people who are siding with Tyson give him credit for. I'd take Tyson by decision but I don't think he has an easy time or blows Vitali out of the water.

BTW everyone who talks about the Lewis-Klit fight fail to mention Vitali took the fight on 2 weeks notice. I think he accounted for himself well in that fight and if they had a rematch, You'd have to favor Vitali by stoppage.

You don't see Vitali having a good chance or doing a Buster against Tyson?

Vitali would have knocked Tyson out somewhat like Lewis did. Those who picked Tyson are plain ignorant and prejudiced.

We're not ignorant or prejudiced. Your plain ignorant for thinking a man who (WHILE IN HIS PRIME) went life and death with an old Lewis would KO a prime Tyson? (Something which Lewis would not have done....but hey thats another subject)

Prime Tyson Beats VK into submission

The only way to beat a prime tyson would be to hit, hold, and move around and frustrate Mike, which is what Buster, Evander And Lennox did. Could VK do that?

Put a lorry in front of a train and tell me which one would win?

People who are saying Mike couldnt reach Vk's chin need to watch some highlights of Mike Tyson while in his prime.

Lennox did fight a shell of the ghost of the corpse of the former boxer Tyson, not a "prime" one. Prime Tyson would have a very good chance to do a McCall on Lennox, without using coke.

I still can't see Vitali dealing "easily" with that early Tyson before King and the ***** got their hands on him. Make it a competitive fight, ok, but I would bet on Vitali losing a decision if Tyson would be concentrated, if I had to pick a winner. Herbie Hide had good success in round one, he just couldn't take any of Vitalis punches. Tyson could.

Still, everyone who calls Vitali with one knee, his shoulder and spine surgically repaired and half of his body being duck-taped "prime", just because that was the time he became a household name, should shoot himself for stupidity.

For the record, I would have Lennox a 60:40 favourite over Vitali prime for prime, if Vitali meets him the first time. He would always do the clinching mistake and get cut from colliding with Lennox forehead, for looking down at what Lennox does instead of away. Big chance of Lennox cutting him the normal way too.
