I have to say that placing is giving me more of a headache than any other.

Is this greates by Resume and overall ranking or H2H (Your quote about your money depending on it makes me wonder??) Oh well, I will mix it up:

HW Joe Louis & Smokin' Joe
LH Gene Tunney & Tommy Loughran
MW Marvin Hagler & B-Hop (Hey, it's my money!!!)
    WW SRR & Napoles
    LW Duran & B. Leonard
    FW Armstrong & Sanchez
BW Panama Al Brown & "Joltin" Jeff Chandler
    Fly Wilde & Lynch

:lol:at least someone else forgot about walcott

and lopez's resume is certainly not the greatest but his talent and dominance was. he doesn't have any greats of his ledger but he was a sight to behold. i rank him high but i can very much see the argument to the contrary
note: you and anarci are right, he never fought at flyweight. and shouldn't be ranked there based on his wins at minimum and light fly. ****, i want him on this list but he has no place

Money? So, not greatest? Then my money would be on those.

    hw - Louis, Marciano
    lhw - Tunney, Charles
    mw - Monzon, Tiger
    ww - Robinson, Ryan
    lw - Leonard, Williams
    fw - Pep, Armstrong
    Bantam - Jofre, McGovern
    Fly - Wilde, Lynch

    Ali - Louis
    Charles - Spinks
Greb- Monzon? could easily switch to Robinson,Hagler
    Robinson-Leonard
    Duran-Leonard
    Pep-Sanchez
Ortiz-Olivares or maybe Jofre not to sure
Canto-Johnson Could easily switch with Wilde and Perez.

Couldnt find a place for Armstrong although he is my #2 all time PFP Also was tempted to put Lopez at fly but he never fought there. I wanted to put Chavez at lightweight but he didnt stay there long enough.

Maybe i should replace Whittaker with Benny Leonard?

From the footage I have seen he appears pretty much a complete fighter, but I view him as unproven against quality flys. And, certainly in at the deep end against the likes of a prime Lynch who could both box and bang.

you're right on both counts: while i may favour lopez over lynch, he's much like chang and would take him to the edge.

still, lopez never fought at flyweight and even though he's the best minimumweight and light flyweight ever, he shouldn't get ranked here ESPECIALLY when at all time great like lynch is getting ignored as a result

Yeh the winning fighter (Arguello and Duran) looking on top but obviously giving it alot to win. Then the losing fighter with the determination etched on their face to win. Both happen to be Scpts aswell.

Two scottish people, sporting avaters of Scots getting beat :lol:

Oh well just watched about 6 Scott Harrison fights.

I have always seen Attel held his own and was not in anyway completly outclassed

1...there is clearly a PHILLY bias that I struggle with (or maybe embrace!), but like I said in my OP I wasn't sure if the Thread Starter meant Overall or H2H the money comment threw me...So I mixed in some H2H

I rate Frazier overall around 8 (7-9 fluctuates), but outside of Liston and Foreman I like his chances H2H against anyone...certainly higher than most!

I rate chandler about 6-9 at BW as well, but think that brown and chandler would be 2 guys I would be comortable puting my money on...almost went with Dixon there!
