    And why?
I think that Lewis, Jack Johnson, and Marciano would have the best chance.
Who do you think and why?

lewis because a prime ali had to be outsmarted as well as out boxed

and lewis was a clever boxer... i dont think he would have won though as i consider ali untouchable in his prime

i agree with KO kidd, lary holmes had a good chance with him. another boxer with quick hands and good foot work has given ali some troubles. i would say a prime lennox lewis as well

Tyson would have a better chance against pre exile ali than post exile ali. Ali was dropped and seriously whobbled in his prime. Tyson's chin was pretty good when he was prime. If they exchange, Tyson does have the speed and power to catch him and knock him out.

Post exile Ali had an incredible chin and he would outsmart a tyson and knew all the tricks with holding ect to frustrate him.

We have seen a few different fighters whose chins got better with age or going up in weight, like foreman as well. I think the extra weight really helped his chin.

Joe Frazier is your best bet.

Very fast pressure, very consistent, impossible to discourage, doesn't cut that easily. I pick him. I give Louis a very good chance also, though I'm alone on that one.

Foreman was that chance IMO for a prime ATG at his best. Ali was just on another level in mind and body. He would have got into anyones head the same way if he feared them enough.

Lennox Lewis, Smart boxer with a great jab and excellent range. He would have forced Ali to fight inside his wheelhouse but he is smarter than Foreman so he wouldn't get tired out quickly. Holmes is another candidate, but if I had to chose one I'm going Lewis.

Well as we're talking about a 'prime' Ali then I think the only guy with a reasonable chance would have been a 'prime' Tyson.

I see sheer aggression and power being the only thing that would have got near to stopping him in his prime, and to be honest I still think he'd have beaten Tyson at his best. Too clever. Far too clever.
