Ok.. I'm tryin to understand how "Joshua Clottey" on the biggest stage of his career, and really as high as he will ever be, wont go out there and try to swing back??? Youve gotta be a total JACKASS! Have you ever seen clottey fight? First of all, that is his style. Hes fought that way his whole career. Secondly, you arent giving pac enough credit. What did you want clottey to do? Punch at air? Pac threw and got around him and by the time clottey opened up pac was gone. Clottey did the best he could do. If he opened up anymore he woulda ended up like hatton!
Wrong. Clottey had lots of success when he rarely went on the attack. He landed the harder, cleaner shots of the night. But before Manny would even start throwing back, Clottey would go right back into defense mode allowing Pac to start teeing off again.
It was the same Clottey we always see, vs the same Pacquiao we always see. Anyone who was surprised by the outcome has no idea how to watch and analyze boxing.
Even though they were all for Pac, the first 3 rounds were competitive. Once Clottey felt Pac's power he was scared to open up.
Here we go. atsch Any real Boxing fan should know what the hell there getting when it's a Clottey fight. To quote Emmanuel Steward "This fight went exactly the way I thought it would." It's no secret that Clottey throws 10 punches a round. That's his style. And give Pacquiao credit he threw about 100 punches a round, used head movement, and great footwork and didn't stand there and let Clottey throw (for the most part). Give Team Pacquiao credit for an excellent gameplan, excellent conditioning, and Clottey basically did what Clottey does. Really wasn't a shock what occured tonight, if you really are a Boxing fan.
