Marquez has proven these theories wrong already. I had Marquez winning the second bout by a round or two.
An intelligent counter-puncher, with a decent defense can cause Pacquiao a lot of problems.

Not the 130 version but this latest version PAcs still improving and Floyd I think has peaked..It will be surprisingly easy. You just dont stop momentum like this one.

    WRONG!

Floyd doesn't fight the same in every fight. Even if they are just subtle changes there are always slight differences. He has pot shotted many of his latest victims because HE CAN!

There was no need to over use his legs against a guy as small as Marquez. Marquez even when in range didn't have the length to even reach him. PBF could simply lean back and JMM punches were hitting air.

PBF isn't dumb. He can see Pac has good feet and will jump inside on him and pivot and throw. So he will take that away by being the one to use movement to dictate the fight.

And he can do this far easier than Pac because HE IS TALLER AN LONGER. When PBF is in range......Pac will not be.

yep! i dont see JMM winning against the version of pac right now. jmm would be lying on the canvas if the two will fight again.

When was the last time Pacquiao was in with a counter-puncher?...Marquez.

Pacquiao would beat Marquez now, probably at any weight, but Marquez would still cause him problems.

    Nope.
Mayweather threw under 500 punches against JMM, a smaller guy who gave him FAR less trouble than Pac would, he never got JMM's respect, the man kept throwing to the final bell.
Mayweather simply does not have the punch out-put to deal with Pac, even if he beats him to the punch 10 times a round what's he going to do with other 90 heading his way?

Pac today has surpassed the level of the Marquez fight, different weight, different Pac.
He threw 600 for JMM, tonight he threw 1200, even with Marquez's defense and counter punching he didn't slow Pac by 600 punches.

Pac today is not the Pac of 2 years ago.

Hmm even as a pac fan, I'd have to say no.

    A) Punches landed are the winning factors, so work rate is not as necessary as it seems, just as floyd has displayed in previous fights. Instead, he should work to nullify Pac's workrate while maintaining a higher number of connects.

    B) KO is an alternative method, but we all know this won't happen. Secondly, Pac has shown great resilience even in combinations.

Don't ever use the words Pac and can't... unless it applies to him beating Wlad or something.

I believe that current Pac has surpassed the level of the DLH who gave PBF his first SD.

Not sure Floyd can deal with Pac's current workrate, power and speed.

    Right now, it's a pick'em fight.

And given that Pac continues to improve, Floyd's chances are lessened the longer he waits.
