wow if your a clottey fan and god forbid you BET on him you must hate this ****ing guy now, i mean the ****er didnt even TRY to win. you know i like to think 30 years from now when Joshua is retired sitting on his couch and he looks back on this fight and say "why the **** didnt i just fight him!" (same can be applied to K.Johnson).
How the **** can anybody be this stupid? :huh Pacquiao by decision was ALWAYS the value bet. It was available at 2/1 and even 3/1 tonight because people were suckered in by Pac's recent KO's and weren't considering Clottey's modus operandi. Either way picking Clottey is beyond ridiculous for anybody with a rudimentary understanding of boxing styles.
My biggest concern with Pac via decision was that Clottey's complete lack of activity would draw a ref stoppage when Pac hit him with 30 unanswered punches.
True, I put a small amount on it myself and was a little worried on a couple of rounds where Clottey did literally throw nothing I thought the ref might stop it for not punching back. But either way, the value was always with that option. There was simply no way Clottey was going to win so you were left with either the decision or the stoppage. 2/1 when Clottey is known for a tight defence, can be extremely negative and when he's a big strong guy (keep in mind how DLH took his punches) was the option to take. Even if it had have gone the other way and Clottey got stopped real late or the ref pulled a stoppage out of his ass I would have felt happy with the logic and risk/reward of that bet.
If you were laying for a Pacquaio decision why would you take 3/1 instead of 2/1 :huh . I mean it had to be -200 not +200.
Because the 3/1 was only available at one online bookmaker moments before the fight and I'd already made my bet elsewhere at 2/1. I use UK bookmakers and generally the price was 2/1, or 7/4.
Pac by decision was never available at 2/1 and 3/1 man who are you guys kidding get real people talking big but didn't even lay their money down
