yes pac easily won the fight and cottley should have thrown more
    there is no doubt here

but there alot of moments when cottley would block pac's punches and hit with a land counter usually a right hand

and the announcers were often pretending like the counter didnt happen

and often pac was not landing anything and they pretending like he hit cottley up with a combo

lampley was the most guilty of this

and about cottley shell defense, its not a bad idea against a very fast hand fighter because its so hard to see their punches coming so i think it had little to do with fear

this is something i often do when sparring a much quicker handed fighter but i guess lampley cant understand because he he has never put on a par of gloves

but yeah it shame he did not throw because he had a lot of success when he did throw....

but its still funny that they were trying to make it seem like pac was not getting hit in a fight where he got hit quite a bit and his face showed that

    Clottey was simply outworked.

Watching this on TV with HBO's team is an entirely different experience than the fight I saw. I'm not sure if they're being swayed by crowd noise or Pacquiao's star power (or his future Pro$pects) but they sure are giving him a ton of credit for punches that aren't scoring.

They're always like that. Bunch of shithawks.

If you want to see really terrible announcing, watch the Williams-Martinez fight. Great fight, but they were forever calling one punch and not the follow-up. It's not bias; it's just incompetence.

YEs i mentioned that tonight during the fight, Im actually missing Foreman and Merchant. At least Lewis wasnt on tonite he is boring id take Foreman any day.

Also like Merchant better than Kellerman, i use to like Kellerman when he was with ESPN but think he kind of sucks now. Like Lampley but he sounded like an IDiot today with his Bang Bang bang bang bang bang bang LOL!

I agree. It was a **** boxing card tonight and the announcers didn't help matters any.

SHAZAM...you're gonna keep blocking? WHAAAM!! still gonna stand there? BAOW BAOW BAOW BOOM BOOM POW TWACK!!

annoying yet funny at the same time. Max Kellerman was horrible as well.

"What amazing heart shown by Pacquiao"... <== What heart he was winning every round and barely had to avoid much less take a punch.

"Pacman is just overpowering clottey" <== No Clottey has always fought in this manner.

They were at an all time low tonight.

I just want to send one big '**** YOU' to Max Kellerman. I just realized tonight that he never saw Pacquiao-Cotto, or he saw only the last five rounds. Unprofessional idiot!

Yeah after Clottey had landed about 15 punches (over 3 or 4 rounds) he was making remarks like "Clottey has landed more punches than Cotto, DLH and Hatton combined". :nut

Cotto landed 172 punches on Pacquiao according to compubox, likely more than Clottey did, and he actually fought like a man even though he suffered a terrible beating for it.

****ing hell, first six rounds of Cotto-Pac was something else despite Miguel going down twice. After the first knockdown, he was firing like a mad man. No fear!!! After the second knockdown, he had an excellent fifth round.
This idiot Kellerman was acting like Cotto never existed against Pac. Respect to Clottey , but there was more action in the first four rounds of Cotto-Pac then in tonight's entire fight.

We commented that "what fight is Lampley watching" when he mentioned how Clottey butted Pac but it was a low blow (during the break).

Lamps does that a lot. I don't see how he can be so blind whe he's sitting directly ringside. It might be easily explainable if he only did it from time to time due to a bad angle of the action or something, but the guy constantly gets calls wrong. A guy will literally miss a punch by three whole feet and Lamps will **** his pants with excitement as if it had just landed dead on the guy's chin.

Dude needs an eye exam like yesterday. :nut
