Lampley just likes to add drama and get excited. He doesn't have a history of being totally biased in favor of Pacquiao like he does towards guys like Barrera, De La Hoya, and Taylor.

Lampley definitely appeared to be rooting for Cotto when he fought Manny.

What? All I remember is Jim reciting comments that cotto made about being just as fast and strong as Pacman. Besides that he's been biased towards Pacman in his more recent big-name fights. Tonight's BANG-fest (when most of those shots we was watching were blocked) proved that much

the bam part was a little too much, if pac was actually landing clean it's understandable but a lot of were half blocked lol!

Lampley was all over Cotto's dick. He was getting a hard on when Cotto was doing well with the jab early on, when he had Pacquiao on the ropes. After Cotto lost, Lampley said "Cotto is defeated as a fighter, but never as a human being". He was all over Cotto's dick also when he fought Margarito. Maybe since Pacquiao is the current top money-maker of HBO Boxing along with Mayweather, the higher-ups told Lampley that he has to start jocking Manny too.

His comments before the Clottey fight were funny.

"Miguel Cotto embraces true honest man love".

From what I hear, I'm now more convinced that Pacquiao would lose to Mayweather, oddly.

1200+ punches vs a mostly defense fighter?

****, he could throw 5,000+ punches with no hope if he's not landing. Make it 10,000 while we're at it. No, if the Ghanaian turtle can go twelve, then Floyd can do it and land a lot more with his speed and ring IQ. We might still see. I'd rather Pac was able to hand Floyd his first -1 but I don't see it, man.

Just curious boxed ears (nice avatar btw... that was a brutal site when it happened lol) what in the fight did pac do exactly that makes you more convinced?

The only thing i can think of is that Clottey was able to find him when he opened up, but i think Pac wasnt really trying to be elusive much... other then that i dont think pac showed much weakness in the fight. Curious as to your thoughts on it :good

The thing is, as defensive as Floyd is (and believe me i understand #1, punch output drops when you dont have a heavybag in front of you ala clottey)

but just because Clottey made it the distance doesnt mean much, i dont think many people at welter could have stopped clottey tonight, the guy did nothing but try to survive, its completely different when a guy is just there to survive as opposed to when a guy is there to actually fight you.

In all honesty if Hoya, Diaz, or Morales had fought just trying to last the distance, i think they would have... its a different dynamic when your just covering your head the entire fight.

The other thing is, just because Mayweather can go the distance with Pac, doesnt mean hed be winning the rounds against Pac. In order for him to be winning rounds, he will have to open up, and when he opens up, pac will be there.

Dont get me wrong man i think Mayweather beats Pac too.... but if anything this fight gave me confidence that pac has a shot i didnt think he had.
