Im amazed at how blind some people are..Of course Clottey didnt throw that many punches. He never does, and its the reason that he never had a win over an elite fighter. Many of us said this fight would go just like it did from the time it was signed. It was another case of fine matchmaking by Arum for Pac. Weaken fighters like Cotto and Oscar, fight slow handed fighters like Hatton, and Clottey. In the case of Clottey and slow handed fighter that doesnt throw any punches. Dont get me wrong here, it takes a damn good fighter to beat those guys and Pac is a damn good fighter. However some are going overbroad with just how much credit Pac should get for beatting them, AT THE TIME THAT HE DID.

Keep in mind Manny walked away from a third fight with JMM, that would have been at the time a career high purse. He backslide his way out of a fight with mayweather, with countless excuses, and Roach said that Mosley was too big. Those things get over looked.

Ok so I watch some of the fight, and yea Clottey really wasn't too active at all, but as I said on this thread before, I still think quite a few of the "missed" punches pac threw had more of an effect on clottey than you think.

And from what I saw, Clottey was more content to make it to the bell than to engage. Not the most honorable thing in boxing to be about. Clottey is no blood and guts warrior, but Whether you like it or not it still takes alot to make it to the bell with this version of pacman, even if thats all you're trying to do.

Clottey got his paycheck, gave the ppv 12 rounds. I think that In his mind thats what his job was.

I believe it just shows pacquiao compensates getting easily countered by a high output.

Thats a big part of what makes pacman so good. Ecspecially against counterpunchers.

Counter pac once, he's gonna throw 5-6 punches at you and land at least one or two no matter how good defensivley you are, and 50% of the time that one or two he lands is gonna be a heavy/damaging shot. he'll keep doing it for 12 rounds, which leads to and overwhelming amount of punches. Meaning lopsided scorecards/ko's in pac's favor.

Man I can't wait for Pac/May. I think its gonna happen.

P.S. - I want Sugar to win, but he wont, and May wins 116-111ish.

Unfortunately boxing fights are not judged by who has the higher connect percentage. Not in amateur boxing nor in pro boxing.

Can I ask you guys something? If Clottey landed so little, why did Pacquiao's face look the way it did at the end of the fight? I haven't seen the fight so don't think I'm trying to sound sarcastic. Someone have some insight?

because clottey landed a few powerful lead right hands and jabs. also pacman bruises/swells pretty easily whereas clottey is probably in the top 3 in terms of not swelling as quick.

I hope you are joking..............But lets say you are serious. Did you see the fight?? The way Clottey fought there was at least 500 punches that landed on his arms. Compubox might not count them, but I bet Clottey is feeling them today.
