    Goddamn!

Is there a more frustrating fighter to watch than Clottey? I've never been more frustrated watching someone unless it was Rocky Juarez and even then, it wasn't this bad.

    What the ****?!

This man shows he has the ability, the skills, the defense, strength, accuracy, everything. But no heart.

Biggest ****ing fight of his career and he sits there while Pacquiao isn't even throwing any punches. It was obvious he landed with great accuracy whenever he wanted to. But ****!...

I do understand Pacquiao's incredible workrate had something to do with it, but didn't the fact that Clottey was doing dickall contribute to that?

I'm convinced Clottey was just content with being able to say "I shared the same ring as Manny Pacquiao for 12 rounds" considering his head seemed so far up Manny's ass, that he would have polished his shoes if he asked him to.

    :fire

    Ok, I feel better now.

Dont be so harsh! You're right he could have done so much better if he had taken some risks but obviously he is very defensive minded and allowed himself to be dominated! His strategy was terrible and just goes to show having a good boxing brain goes along way!

    Shame really!

taking a dive early in a fight is a disgrace to the sport

just trying to survive all 12 rounds is pathetic but not a disgrace to the sport

The punches he absorbed, the body beating he endured, the fact that he was totally outclassed by one of the best fighters in history but kept getting of his stool and throwing tells that particular story. "No heart"? He's just taken on maybe the very best fighter in the hurt game and extended him to 12 rounds something that a succession of much bigger stars have failed to do...why on earth wouldn't he quit at the end of the 11th? It was impossible for him to win, he knew it and he still stepped up for another drilling.

I wish he did take a dive, would have saved me from going through 12rounds of Pac hitting a human punchbag.

I'd like to say something about this. Clottey came out knowing he was out-gunned. He covered up, he brought counter-pressure, he forced Pacquiao to over-lead. He was waiting for his opportunity to come on against a fading, smaller man. What Pacquiao did was make a small adjustment that most people seem to have missed. He became less active and began deploying the minimum amount of effort needed to win the middle rounds. He predicted the curve of the fight had he kept up the original momentum and reigned it in, thus castrating Clottey. This type of generalship is becoming increasigly rare, and aside from changing his plan to an impossible one to execute, he was left high and dry. He was beaten on all fronts. Shame? Only if being less good than your opponent, who happens to be an ATG is shameful.

No. He didn't land many clean, but he landed, and a lot of his body shots were flush.

I think the most frustrated guy was Clottey's trainer, Lenny DeJesus, who was begging his fighter to throw punches every time he came back to corner... That tells it all!!!!!!!!!

Tiny Marquez showed more balls against Mayweather even though there was little hope he was gonna win.

man clottey had a gameplan!, i watched the fight at least twice now, you would even notice despite clottey on defensive mode he was the one BACKING UP pac most of the fight. This fight was a testament to pac's energy/stamina, notice how he played possum almost went down on the 2nd round(which made pac think he was hurt and invite him to throw more). I pick clottey to win, but clottey was just basically outgunned., I never expect to see this kind of energy level from someone, pac could fight for 15 or 20 rounds..damn
