Quite entertaining, but a little underwhelming when compared to the previous Pac fights (heck, Manny had set so high a standard to his fights that by now, everyone would like to see at least a kd to everyone of his fights, lol).

Clottey's refusal to engage and WinkyWright-ish defense is another factor. 6.5 out of 10.

I didn't mind the fight at all, I felt there was always suspense in the fight as to whether Clottey could land THE BIG ONE or not. I felt Clottey was always dangerous, even in the 12th. and Pac's offense was beautiful to watch. and who was'nt impressed by Pac's chin??? The only dissapointment for me was JOSE LUIS CASTILLO!!

It would be much more entertaining if Clottey performed the way he is expected to fight but only he chooses not to go toe to toe with Pac. Pacquiao tried a lot of times to invite the Ghanaian to engage but he prefer a peek-a-boo fight all through the end of the fight. For me it is a disappointing show by Clottey because he could have change the nature of the fight if he was the one in the attack mode. Pity to think that he had bright moments by way he connected those shots to Pac, the champ noticeably felt it few times and visibly got hurt. I just thought and realized he is the bigger and stronger guy than Manny after the early three rounds. I believe Joshua Clottey could have dominated and won it.
Pacquiao deserve to win this fight far from doubt because he performed the way he is used to. I must admit that I am just a little disappointed in this fight not because the audience didn't see knockdowns or KOs, but for a simple reason we knew that this match up has the capability to be more entertaining and electrifying as expected with each protagonists' abilities. But that is boxing, sometimes a fighter decides to hide and not engage.

I think the frustration double punch was the highlight and pretty summed up the fight. :smoke

Good point. I also think that when they showed highlights of the Pac/Morales 1 youd realize how sloppy Pac was. He was just so damn raw and was reckless.

Now hes improved a bit technically and surprisingly still improving. And at LW and JWW, hed be a beast as compared to when he was at 126 just because of the increased power, almost the same speed and slightly improved boxing skills.

Case in point, at 140 I dont think JMM would last 5 rounds.

You would have to have never seen Clottey fight before to be expecting anything other than what he did.

I thought the fight was pretty good. I had a group of buddies who are casual boxing fans, they watched the last Pac fight against Cotto and they thought the Clottey fight was still good.

real name of this thread: *******s report in.

How anyone could enjoy this card is shocking, only 1 fight was sorta good the others were one sided pieces of crap. I'm not blaming Pacquiao but him fighting a heavybag isn't worth $50.

Well i enjoyed the fight, because of Pac.... i think its fair to aim criticism Clotteys way though.

At any rate, Pac put on one hell of a performence against one of the top welters and a tough one to boot, and did something that nobody has done yet and thats completely dominate Clottey. :good

The fight had its moments, the double handed punch, the BAM, BAM, BAM lol... the 1200 punch mark, it has its memories for sure
