I think pac can beat floyd, but I am no more or less confident after watching his performance last night

People suck Manny's meat waaaayyy too much. Freddie Roach is the primary reason for Pacquiao's success. Without Roach, Pacquiao is merely a great athlete. Pac follows Roach's gameplan to perfection, but has not once been forced to adjust from that gameplan in his last 4 fights. If Roach's gameplan does not work, Pac may be assed out, and Roach has already mentioned that stylistically Clottey would be easy and Mayweather worries him. Mayweather does not have a style that can be predicted due to the fact that he can adjust to his opponents. This is why he will beat Shane, and why he will beat Manny if they fight. Enough of the Clottey/Mayweather comparisons.

I hate the back and forth bickering but some of these *******s have lost their minds. ANY MID-LEVEL FIGHTER could throw 1200 punches against a guy who doesn't fight back. Really not amazing. *******s also seem to forget how Cotto used BOXING to control pacman and his workrate in the beginning of their fight. Cotto just made the mistake of thinking he could brawl and then got hurt. For some reason people think Floyd is slow when he's faster than manny/clottey and more accurate than both. Manny has shown he can hit a stationary target with his guard up but he still hasn't been shown to be able to deal with a fighter with great defense who is known for avoiding shots COMPLETLY. You may get points for hitting someones arms and elbows all night but you don't get points for missing the target and getting countered completely. Clearly some manny fans are trying to make this clottey fight more than what it was because they wont have much to say when a REAL competitive fight occurs on May 1st. Both fighters have a chance to beat each other but to say it'll be a blowout is silly bias

    :patsch:patsch:patsch

Didn't it even incur to you that Clottey is THAT BIG and kept coming forward. If Pac stopped throwing, Clottey would muscle him down to the ropes.

I don't remember anyone throwing 1200 punches at Mayweather over 12 rounds.

I just remember Chavez being on pace before the fight was stopped.

    No he wasn't.

They stopped the fight at round 9.

He was getting his head spun around by counter right uppercuts(my fav floyd performance.)

Yes he was on pace to throw 1200.

I know the fight was stopped at 9. Note where I said ON PACE LukeO.

    I KNOW.

How many more punches did he need to throw in 3 rounds?
How many had he thrown by the time the fight was stopped?

It was stopped after 9. Not 8. So he needed 3 rounds not 4.

He threw 925 punches by the time the fight was stopped. So I'll do the math for you.

    That's 275 more punches.

He would need 86 a round basically. He was averaging 103 before they stopped it.

Apparently fighting in a division for 15 years and never winning a title makes you elite to some people.

Only when you are fighting Pacquiao though.
