What if Mosley beats Floyd and Manny?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Crax Sellerman, Mar 14, 2010.

  1. Since everybody's making ATG threads, I present this scenario - where would Mosley rank if he were to beat Floyd then beat Pacquiao?

He'd almost be as good as mayweather, but not quite.

he would crack the top30 or so.

    I understand it's a far-fetched scenario, but it's hypothetical. Humor me here.

    hmm..
i dont know if he d get the credit for beating those two guys- that they would get for beating him. I think his legacy- although open - is still very much set in stone. Much like how bernard hopkins- no matter how he did in his latter career or against roy- will still be considered behind roy himself.

I think should he beat those two - he cracks top 50. but losing to guys like forrest and winky twice each- is a major blow to his all time considerations, they sort of equal all out- and put him ahead of guys like dela hoya- but still behind guys like pernell.

all time p4p he s around 50 if he wins both, maybe higher- but all time welter- i think he s pretty set.

No one can possibly be better than mayweather.

I took a poll of 10 random people and 100% said he was the greatest boxer who ever lived....

    I randomly selected:
    JacoryHarris
    Nallege
    SDSfinest
    PimpC
    Rudyard
    FinalFight
    TheKid
    victor789
    PBFred
    HyperUppercut

All of them agreed he is the greatest thing to ever come near boxing.

I just do not see a "what if". Shane beats them both.

Shane would rank higher than Floyd, but Pac I would still have to rank higher, just because I still truly believe that Pacquiao really belongs one weight level lower. Should Pac lose to a legit 140 lber at 140, then that would drop Pac considerably.

  15. I'm of the same mindset honestly. I don't think Pacquiao gets enough credit for fighting clearly out of his weight class.
