Seems to me Clottey lost that fight by inactivity and failure to risk it, more than Pac won it. Vintage Clottey: failure to go life and death in key points in his career. Pac's face was more busted up than Clottey at the end. Do you guys think Pac had the power to put Clottey away?

    Yes.

I also think Pac did hurt Clottey a few times later on in the fight.

Yes, but Pac has to win first, then think about knocking out Clottey.

    No.

Clottey said he didn't feel Pacman's power and i believe him.

  5. If Pacquiao didn't have the power to trouble Clottey, he would've thrown some punches. Clottey said this himself in the build-up to the fight.

Unfortunately, he couldn't handle Pacquiao's power so he chose to just cover up for the entire fight rather than risk catching something during an exchange.

The Clottey corner kept telling him: "You're losing every round. You gotta take a risk." The dude just didn't listen.

I think Pac's body work took it's toll on Clottey, and towards the latter rounds Clottey may have been feeling his shots.

Bingo!, that straight lefts to the midsection was brutal, you can tell Clottey was stung by it. Theres a reason Clottey remained cautios, he was feeling it.

ANd WTF is with boxing nowadays, body shots now count for ****.

    Clottey is too tough
    he doesn't have the power
I know a lot of those punches were being caught on the glove, but the ones that did land did not seem to hurt him a lot. he might have been hurt a few times in the later rounds.
It's funny because Pacquiaos face looked worse then Clotteys..

Clottey can't slow down in the later rounds for his Pac fight for the simple reason that he is already very slow in the early rounds.

He sacrificed his arms. They took a lot of punishment. I bet he cannot move a single muscle in his arms right now.

Pac has good power but he couldn't have ko'd Clottey. Could he have stopped him?Yes maybe but Clottey would be on his feet.

People overlook the fact that Pacq had a swelling under one eye after the second round caused by a... clash of heads. Appart from that, really, Pacq didn't look bad at all. He ended in much better shape than in the Cotto fight.

Pacquiao had the power to produce flash knockdowns on Clottey and I recall Clottey being stunned a few times. But to KO him out? Maybe after another 10 rounds of going to the boddy. Clottey's a very strong welter. He's a welter weight-ed Winky Wright.
    Not getting KOd anytime soon.

He went down against Cotto, but it was only flash. And Cotto man, he's probably the hardest hitting Welter in this division. Along with Mosley. Can't really decide who hits harder between those two.
