I'm shocked to see the amount of clueless folk here who can't seem to grasp how the fight went last night.

Pac's performance was fantastic. It was obvious Clottey's plan was going to be. Stay in his shell for the first few rounds until he settles in and open up as his opponent begins to run out of steam. Things is, Pac wouldn't allow him to do it. He was throwing punches in bunches relentlessly for the whole fight and his constant pressure and movement should be applauded. I think Clottey was too battered in the later rounds to go gung ho on Pac. All them punches take their toll even if they are not all flush.

People calling Clottey a "human punch bag" need to realise Pac's lightning quick flurries of punches turned him into just that. How come against Cotto and Margarito he wasn't a punching bag?

Most realised this fight would be stylistic nightmare for Clottey and that was what made it such a predictable match up but that does not mean Pac should not be commended for the way he went about his victory. Had Pac decided to stand off he would have been in trouble as Clottey landed his punches when given the opportunity.

I have no problem with people saying it wasn't entertaining. Quite frankly, it wasn't and I don't think anyone who was familiar with Clottey expected it to be. But anyone who refuses to acknowledge what a great performance Pac's was is deluded and has no understanding of the sport whatsoever.

I had to get that off my chest. The amount of boxing-illiterate idiots on here get under my skin.

Your post is way too objective.
    Watch out, they are coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I think Pacquiao was honestly allowing Clottey to punch him a few times to try to encourage him to exchange. Everybody realized Clottey's performance was disgraceful, including his opponent.

Manny wanted some more excitement "for alla da pipple who lahv buxing"

I give Pacquiao all of the credit in the world, he beat a top 10 welterweight in impressive fashion. What I am not doing is saying it is the greatest thing in the world, Clottey went into a defensive shell and didn't even try to win, just to make it to the final bell. And in terms of where Clottey is compared to Mayweather, Mayweather is Mt. Everest and Clottey is a mole hill.

I said when the fight got made, that this is a total mismatch, and Pac will not be troubled by Clottey at all. I was pissed at this matchup, and said I would only give Pac credit, if he KO's Clottey, because he will make a statment by taking out such a durable guy....

So no, I dont give him much credit for this fight at all.

i think its funny. think about the all envy, hate and pain they must be feeling in order to go to the trouble of gossiping about another man in order to tarnish a shine everyone else can see.

Clottey has never been hurt before in his entire career. A KO would have been sensational. You won't even for the fact that he completely dominated him for the entire fight. No other boxer in the world at welter would have been able to dominate in the same way. Pac's performance was close to perfect, he used his attributes to maximum affect. You are a hater.

only idiots would not give pac credit after last night. pac knew well that he was ahead on the scorecards and yet he is still tring to put on a show trying to find a way to stop clottey. for some, they would just ride on their bicycle and fight safely for the remainder of the match.

I may just avoid seeing this fight and just get the great fights he had with Barerra & Morales. Seeing Clottey-Pac is just not my glass of soda.
