I don't really believe Clottey to be a bum.

It was a figure of expression to describe the effort he put forth.

And I wasn't even surprised by it one iota because I fully expected that Pac would keep him on his guard. What was surprising however was that Clottey stubbornly refused to take any chances in the second half of the fight even though he was well aware he was losing every round.

And that I thought was a bum like mentality.

I don't want to hear anyone, anyone complain about Golden Boy, ever again. They would have NEVER put on this level of ****, especially for a showcase of 51,000 fans.

I see some people here that are either idiots or are playing devils advocate. CASTILLO is a has-been, DUDDY is a never-will-be and SOTO is a good HBO fighter, not PPV.The main event went according to plan, but to put these type of match ups in a football stadium with 50,000 people in attendance and selling the event as something historically significant is what hurts boxing and disappoints us in the end.

Bob Arum doesnt give a **** and he would say anything so you can buy his PPV cards even though he know most of them are ****. This is a business so he has to sell the fight like its the greatest fight ever which he knows this fight should be on Friday Night Fights. But I do agree that Arum is a piece of ****. I mean he could have found someone to at least make it interesting at least I wouldn't mind seeing Pac and Paul Williams fight !!!! but The Event was a quick way to cash in real quick for the let down of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao !!!!

Paul Williams is 6-3, Pac is 5-5 with his boots on.:huh

it would be a good matchup pound for pound. and williams would get killed if he were Pac's height.

Paul Williams can fight at 147lbs and he would get down to that weight to make that fight I have no doubt about that. But you have to admit Arum could of found someone to at least make it entertaining !!!!

Williams-Pacquiao is never going to happen. He said that he was afraid of dealing with Yuri Foreman's height advantage. Paul Williams is taller than Yuri Foreman and a better fighter, Pacquiao would get killed.

Clottey did what he always does. Arum knew what he was going to do. Stand there, get hit on the arms, throw punches sparingly. He knew he was making a dull fight. God bless Pac, he tried his best to make it entertaining, but Clottey only has one gear and one style.

It was a shitty undercard coupled with a main card predicated on a terrible stylistic matchup that guaranteed no drama.

no sh*t sherlock. Pac would have to jump to land a punch at Paul Williams Head.

P dub should do what he does best and that's win controversially against B grade talent like Sergio Martinez and an old Winky Wright.

This may have been the worse ppv card I've ever seen. I wrongly thought it would be a decent show. I thought some of the undercard fights were good on paper. Maybe not the most significant fights but atleast solid style match ups but they failed to deliver. I know Clottey isn't the most exciting fighter but Pacquiaio is can't miss tv. I knew it wasn't going to be fight of the year but I didn't think Clottey would go into total survival mode the entire fight. I was bored the entire night. There may have been about 40 rounds of boxing but maybe 4-5 of them were watchable.

No I was giving these guys props. Defending Arum makes you a super *******. A real fan of boxing or even a real fan of Pacquiao wouldn't like Arum. Not the irrational lemming will defend him just because he's Pac's promoter
